As I cannot judge on the situation from @pepe_lodz, as he has his phone from Tmobile, I have repeatedly reported the same issue with my unbranded L09.That´s your bad, there are plenty of warnings in the tutorialIf you had a L09C432, it should be possible. Your sim failure on the other hand says otherwise.
Seems you had branded one, then you can only revert back to this one, but i know for fact, that providers sometimes change something depending on the builddate of the device in the oeminfo, even if it´s the same model.
So you only have a choice, if someone has a backup from the same series.
I did not purchase it from a provider, but from a european Huawei phone reseller, which came with a L09C432 rom.
But yes, also I did not do a backup of the original oeminfo. My own mistake of course.
The issue persists no matter which L09C432 oeminfo is tried, and believe me, I have tried nearly every one of them available on the internet.
Tried it as well, but to no avail. Rebranding back from L29 to L09, even with the update you supplied, does not fix the current issues:If you are really sure you had a L09C432, then try to replace the update_all_hw.zip in the folder hwota\update (Important: You have to use the new one - B180 !!) with this one: update_full_VTR-L09_hw_eu.zip and rename it again to to update_all_hw.zip. Be sure you set your option in the os, that shows you the suffix. Otherwise you might end up with a update_all_hw.zip.zip
Run the script again.
1. Simcard recognition failure
- workaround is to remove the Simlock code, though for people who want complete security this is a crappy option as the Simlock code cannot be reenabled again unless you want recognition problems.
2. "Settings" still shows "Dual Sim Management" options after reverting back to L09, even with original oeminfo.
- no workaround
It would be great if someone with the technical knowledge was able to make a project out of this and at least find the direct cause, if not a permanent solution
Someone who is willing to do a rebrand back to L09 using only a oeminfo file and the B180 rom (or even a previous rom), and NOT using their own full backup
