Have you tried PowerAmp or other non-stock music player? This would kill the deal for me. I suspect there are options and would love to know PowerAmp, in particular, works with the external card. I have way too much music I need to have with me which is why I require sdcard support.

I checked my poweramp and external sd is there, but defo not on the stock player. And videos on sd card are still a no show unless I'm doing something wrong I've added the sd folder in mx player and still nothing.

Ah figured it out. I'm coming from the CM 12.1Blisspop Rom on G3. Had to reformat my sd card. Had over 49Gb so backing up and transferring it all back took like forever omg:banghead:

I would like to add a request for "enable wifi hotspot" to be added to the first post, when possible.

This is my first LG phone and I hope I can get the wifi hotspot working on Sprint once I get the G4 rooted.

Wifi Hotspot can be enabled by: Settings app -> Tethering -> Wi-Fi Hotspot :good:

That's not even an option on my Sprint G4. Hopefully rooting/unlock wifi hotspot will enable it.

You would need "unknown sources" checked under Security to install apps once they are downloaded via not the play store

There is no turning back once you have unlocked the bootloader. You will not be able to revert your phone to locked status.

Hi there! Let's be honest, no one here can be sure as there isn't any root method for any variant yet. I have a Singapore variant too, and judging from my old Singapore G3, there shouldn't be an issue regarding ROM support I believe!

Yes there is. The EU 815 variant has root, because it has bootloader unlock, and TWRP can then be installed and it can be rooted.

Have you PC Powered On and Logged in
Power Down the LG G4
Press and Hold the Volume Up Button on the LG G4
While Holding Volume Up, Plug the USB Cable into the LG G4
Continue Holding the Volume Up Button After You See ‘Download Mode’
Let Go of the Volume Up Button When You See the ‘Firmware Update’ Screen on the LG G4
