Yes there is. The EU 815 variant has root, because it has bootloader unlock, and TWRP can then be installed and it can be rooted.

You would need "unknown sources" checked under Security to install apps once they are downloaded via not the play store

Sorry... I am dumber than you thought. What kind of files get downloaded? Where do they go? Do I need to open them on my phone somehow?

I still can't fin any G4 model in the WRTP Tool app! Wonder wy...got it from playstore!

I found a way to install the recovery even if it doesn't appear on the app list:
just usae fastboot, thne install->choose "image" instead of zip" and here youare!

But now I'm in BIG troubles since I formatted the phone I system partition, that means that phone doesn't have an OS it just stop at boot logo!
Ok I found that all thw rold need the first stock rom from LG G4 in KDZ format to flash with LG Flash tool (a sort ot tar.md with odin in samsung method).
So if somebody find one pls add to first post.

Just plug your phone in and UI prompts to install the drivers - nice feature.

Here we go - after some trial and error figured out the combo is Taiwan/English to get the LGH815 to show up in the list when clicking "Install USB Driver" from the LG Mobile Support Tool [1]

1. Download “Root Explorer” app
2. Go to root/system/media
3. Mount R/W
4. Change “bootanimation.zip” to “bootanimation.old”
5. Download “bootanimation-flashable..zip” and flash in recovery
