Redmi Note 8 Pro - The Megathread Background Xiaomi sent many of us the Redmi Note 8 Pro (Indian variant - begoniain) back in November 2019. Development started out great, but came to an abrupt halt, when at one point all of us were bricked. A...forum.xda-developers.com
One more thing. If you are following tutorials from YouTube and other websites, we don't know what you have done to your phone. The information in this thread works if you just stick to the information here ONLY.

First i get my bricked Phone running again with flashing the Stock ROM MIUI 10.4.1. with Android 9 Kernel with the SP Flashing Tool. No, I'm still confused.
I asked if you can boot to fastboot, and you said,
No, only EDL Mode is working.
As i flashed the original preloader and lk from the firmware package back to phone it start working again.
If you can get the phone working again, then you have fastboot right?
Hey everyone I want to go back to miui to I'm on cfw a10 and preloader to use so flash tool do I go fastboot or power off ?
Also I don't know how to use sp flash toolwhat is the download agent and scatter file and authentication can someone guide me through this ??
How about downloading agent do I need that cause when I bricked my phone I only used the scatter loading file also do I unchech preloader and lk or check iwant to back full miui no preloader and that???I found this within 5 seconds on google.
You don't need authentication file.
How about downloading agent do I need that cause when I bricked my phone I only used the scatter loading file also do I unchech preloader and lk or check iwant to back full miui no preloader and that???
I already unbricked t since it was a softbrick but why did all sp flash tool fail even when i had the preloader i tired on 2 different laptops and two different cables also tried different sp flash tool version all game me error or didnt start? luckily it was a softbrick and i still had fastboot but ehy didnt it work ??????????? bruh
So I bricked my phone due to a module and then I was in a bootloop I removed all modules and also flashed the same room didn't workNo one knows why it didn't work because you didn't give any details.
You have fixed the problem now so it's time to move on to what you want to do next.
So I bricked my phone due to a module and then I was in a bootloop I removed all modules and also flashed the same room didn't work
And since I was on preloaded I wasn't worried
But I tried 3 sp flash tool versions all errors or it started and stuck at 0% so what was the problem cause Id like to go back to my custom ROM my phone was showing up in deviceanager of windows and since I still had fastboot I typed fastboot devices and it was recognised ???
No I didn't trybfalsh a custom ROM using so flash I used a9 fastboot ROM miui also do you know the reason for the errors cause performance so bad in miui 12 I'd like to go backYou can't flash custom roms with sp flash.
You flash them with twrp. Do you still have recovery?
No I didn't trybfalsh a custom ROM using so flash I used a9 fastboot ROM miui also do you know the reason for the errors cause performance so bad in miui 12 I'd like to go back
No I did not try to flash a custom ROM in so flash tool, I tried to flash a miui a9 fastboot ROM.
And as for the rogue modules I removed it along with all my other modules that caused the brick.
now with that do you know the reason so flash tool failed even with the preloader.
fastboot flash preloader preloader_begonia.bin fastboot flash lk lk.img fastboot flash lk2 lk.img
The title is Factory Mode The first is automatic testing The second is manual test The third is a single test The fourth is the test report The fifth is debugging test items The sixth is to clear emmc The seventh is version information The eighth is to restart the mobile phone.
He, OK, now I feel stupid. What does it mean in instruction (first post) -
fastboot flash preloader preloader_begonia.bin
fastboot flash lk lk.img
fastboot flash lk2 lk.img
Flash lk.img twice, or...?
hello guys, the lk.img file should be rewritten to lk2.img on the second flash or just flash 2x lk.img? sorry that I ask maybe clear things but I do not want to have a brick next to it thanks for the answer.
Regarding black screen in recovery, try my last unofficial TWRP build. I'll post one more final update ig, for completeness sake. TWRP needs to merge the new blanking code for brightness to work consistently for everyone.Yeah, that's how I understand it, too. But "Unlocking the bootloader and gaining root" came at first. I just wanted to make sure.
Anyway, I tried it and it worked:
1. Factory Preloader (reboot it)
2. TWRP (as expained)
It worked, but I can't see anything on recovery - black screen bug. Adb is showing me that the recovery is loaded. So, I'll wait for the fix.
I have created a small guide on the PwOSS website in case anyone wants to take a look. Feel free to copy the whole thing and create another thread if needed.
I had the same problem. I looked at the end of the post ;D
