How To Guide Guide: Install Global ROM on chinese Redmi Note 11 Pro (Pro+)

Okay, so some people here obviously bought a Redmi Note 11 Pro from China and want to install the Global ROM on it. As there are so many different Redmi Note 11 Pro Smartphones on the market, let me be clear:



We are talking about the Redmi Note 11 Pro (code name pissarro) or Pro Plus (pissarro pro) from China with a Mediatek Dimensity 900 Chipset.



If you have one of these two phones, you can install the official Global ROM from the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. The Global ROM from the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus works with both Chinese phones, regardless if you have the 11 Pro or 11 Pro+



To install the Global ROM, you will do the following:

• Apply for unlock
• Wait… Most likely you will have to wait 360 hours. There is no way around it
• Unlock your phone
• Download the correct FASTBOOT STABLE GLOBAL ROM for your device on your windows PC. You can find it here:

  The ultimate script that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi devices.

  The name is “Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot File Download”
• Extract the File and put it in the Root-Drive of your Windows (c:/)
• Download and extract the Mi Flash Tool

• Open the file XiaomiFlash.exe .
• Put your phone in fastboot mode. To do that, first turn it off. Then keep holding Volume-Down Button and Powerbutton at the same time until the Fastboot-animation appears.
• Open the directory of your ROM in the Mi Flash Tool via the button “Select”
  
  
• CHANGE THE SETTING DOWN TO “CLEAN ALL”. DON’T USE “CLEAN ALL AND LOCK”
  
  
• Press Flash
• Wait until the process is done. It will take around 15 Minutes

You will have a Working Global ROM on your device. Don’t lock the bootloader at any time while you have a Non-China ROM on your device.

Você terá uma ROM global de trabalho no seu dispositivo. Não bloqueie o bootloader a qualquer momento enquanto você tiver uma ROM não chinesa em seu dispositivo.

I did accidentally uploaded a wrong firmware and the phone is already dead. I can't turned back on, not even in fastboot but it can be detected in deivce manager Ports (Com & LPT). Can you please please please help to recover my Redmi Note 11 pro 5G (Chinese Version). Thanks...

Your Device seems to be in EDL Mode. It should be possible to recover it. Also, you should be able to see it in the Xiaomi Flash tool if you have the drivers installed. Is it detected in the Flashtool like in the screenshot above (below... "via the button “Select”)? If yes, try to flash it like described in the guide. If not, try to install the drivers and try to get it to show up in the Flash Tool.

That's my problem because it is not anymore detected in the Flash tool, I can't upload new firmware. Can you please tell me what are the drivers need to install so that my phone will be detected again in the FlashTool? Thanks...

If you click on "Drivers" in the flashtool.... Does the tool ask for drivers to install or not? If it does, you have to install those drivers.

yes I've installed all the drivers, and still it cannot be detected. I tried to open my phone hoping to find the edl test point but I cant locate it.

And why some people want to install global rom on it, what's the difference !? And what your advice to keep the global rom on it or re-install Chinese rom ?

Install China ROM and Lock Bootloader will work probably... But it is not safe because this preinstalled "Shop ROMs" often are flashed in a strange way which causes problems if you lock the bootloader. But you SHOULD be safe with the original China ROM. Do it at your own risk and please report here if it works.

About Global ROM Advantages: Many here speak other languages like german, french or spain. China ROM does not have those languages. If you are english speaking, you can use a xiaomi debloat tool and delete all chinese apps and be happy with your device.

Also... About the not working NFC: If you somehow get Magisk on your phone, you can try the magisk hide module. Maybe NFC will work after that, if you are talking about the payment option.

yes and yes. You should receive Updates completly normal OTA. If not, just download the MIUI ROM on https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/pissarro/

For your device (EEA or Global ---> Recovery & Stable

and install it as manual update in the update app of your phones system. But this should not be necessary
