So, tried Havoc 3.1, EvolutionX 4.0 from ExpressLuke as well as Lineage 17.1 (jan 11th).

All of them booted the first time but after 1 or two reboots stayed bootloping immediately after homescreen/lockscreen appears. Seemed problem with keyguard... Also fingerprint register force closed.

Complimentary, EvolutionX had brightness issue (low brightness, possibly fixable by editing sys/class)

Back to Havoc 3.0 :D
Update the kernel and fingerprint should be fixed.

Actually I tested those builds only with latest 5.9.

By the way, thanks for your development!
That's odd. Thanks for confirming.
I was only able to get fingerprint on DU with the latest 5.9. maybe it's an isolated thing for DU.

With december builds 5.9 works perfectly, as well as 5.8 and 5.7.
Do you want me to test older kernel builds with january roms?

Nah it won't work. Only 5.9 auto patches the ramdisk and kernel security patch date based on the system security patch date.
That's one reason fingerprint has been a problem on gsi.

Help in January security patch

I've failed to get past the startup logo in all of january GSIs.

Steps
1. Install fresh odin firmware with January security patch and boot into TWRP.
2. After wiping data (where you swipe "yes"), delete system, data, cache and internal storage.
3. Flash system image, latest Klabit GSI kernel, MagiscPHH and disable-encrryption.

Maybe this GSI doesnt match my security patch (january): PixelExperience_ARM64A-10.0-20200118-2023-GSI.img.xz from: https://sourceforge.net/projects/expressluke-gsis/files/PixelExperience/Ten/ARM64/A/

I have booted that exact gsi myself but brightness is extremely low and no option to turn up the brightness.
Not sure what you're doing or not doing correctly but it works for me.

any fix for the auto brightness in android 10 rom?

I change the brightness manually with a script
echo "6000" > /sys/devices/platform/soc/ae00000.qcom,mdss_mdp/backlight/panel0-backlight/brightness
BUT IS SO ANNOYING

Does anyone have a definitive brightness control fix? I'm running on a G9650 and I can get several GSI roms to boot but brightness control (manual or auto) never works.
