It's not relly part of the question.

You got a bit confused with iHusky's post when he mentioned "this ROM" 2 days ago as he meant "this GSI".

So basically he wanted to know if could install the GSI on top of the EU rom which he has installed which he can.

Xiaomi.eu ROM already inlcudes GApps. But what does this have to do with GSI?

Ehhhhh, richtig I forgot, that you don`t have good skills in english leanguage .... I say simple, can I install GSI when I am on current xiaomi.eu, and if exist Gapps etc. And if this ROM can be used for daily use, or only for experiment?

I recommend installed xiaomi.eu ROM. I haven't got GSI booting on Stock ROM (Global).
I use CAOS as daily driver. The missing fringerprint functionality and BT audio is okay. MIUI's bugs are more heavier.

What buys does MIUI have as I haven't come across any.

There's a Bluetooth fix in the treble guide section for music streaming.. No 90hz either?

When google cast is connected MIUI won't show a volume toggle bar and you have to go to the settings to toggle phones volume.
When using VoLTE and VoWIFI you cant enable your speaker during a call, because it disables your microphone.
There are some UI glitches.
Dark Mode is buggy, destroys some apps and won't list all apps in dark mode per app section.
And many little things...

Sounds like the GSI has worse bugs as you'll lose the key selling points of the phone

Due to good old time with MIUI as custom ROM I gave Xiaomi a chance. But these bugs drive me crazy and Xiaomi seems to dont care about them. I will go back to Pixel next years and thats it.

Ive tried
Almost all gsi's
But only 2 boots
Caos and aosp
The aosip boots but stays on boot animation
Also i tried flyme os gsi runs normal with some issues
I tried oneplus's oxygen os
Only the one from oneplus 6t boots with tones of issues

Can you pls provide the link to FlyMe and a list of bugs you noticed?

It's in one of Erfan's threads in the GSI forum. They're all based on phhusson's work so bugs will be the same

System Partition

Has anyone had issues with flashing to the system using fastboot flash system system.img?I cant get past the below error:

Sending sparse 'system' 1/4 (786428 KB) OKAY [ 17.719s]
Writing 'system' FAILED (remote: 'Partition not found')
fastboot: error: Command failed

Ive also tried through TWRP though am unable to mount the system partition either even though it is shown to be mounted.

Use fastbootd like it says in post 1 of the guide

The normal fastboot only have access to the super partition, that includes sysetem, vendor, etc.

You have to go to userspace fastboot (fastbootd) to flash the system. Just follow the guide step by step.

I am able to reboot into Fastbootd though my pc is unable to detect that it is connected it just says waiting for devices after reboot to fastboot using fastboot. I also attempted to follow the steps by wiping data and selectin connect with MiAssistant thinking that i would be able to boot into fastbootd from here though i was unable to do so. Then i tried to download a version of MiAssistant in english though im unable to find this as well.

After you entered the Mi Assistant option in stock recovery you have to execute

adb reboot fastboot

.
You dont need to install Mi Assistant.
