will this work on winmo 6.1, and (as waqaskhan asked) can I just overwrite the old panel manager? Don't I need to delete some dll files?

You just need to download and install the cabs no need to delete files but don't start anything until you restart the phone after installation.

Back up the files under program files\panelmanager and the corresponding registry keys. If anything goes wrong you can revert to the X1 panelmanager by restoring those files and registry keys. I did it once, it worked without any problems.

Hi, I'm a new user here and so far everything's been really helpful. Thanks for the files! However, I did come across some problems. Not sure it this happened to anyone else. I followed all the instructions but for some reason, after I installed it, all the buttons (including the power button) and the keyboard slide-out became non-responsive. I tried removing and installing it again but it still did not work. eventually, I was talking to someone and they mentioned that they only had up install the X2 panel manager and they were able to get the X2 panels working. So what I did in the end was I only installed the X2 panel manager and the active X deployment and then everything worked fine! Just thought I would share that in case someone comes across the same thing as I did. Not sure what went wrong when I followed the original instructions... =(

This seems to happen in wm6.5.3 and 6.5.5.
