red recovery after reboot

Just recieved this phone yesterday (used). Previous owner gave me a clean wipe with the verizon bloatware.

Followed all of section 1. Everything goes successful.

phone tells me it is Done! partitions will be converted to ext4 upon next boot if Vodoo conversion has not been done.
Install from sdcard complete.

However, after my reboots the phone just boots back into red recovery (CwM Voodoo Lagfix Recovery v2.5.1.x)

any ideas?

I've attached the log files that Voodoo created on the sdcard

make sure your getting back to reboot system now in cwm, not reboot recovery.

sorry, i didn't see you used recursive links in the original post. i just found this in the Q&A section and as a guide, it belongs into general discussion.

Speaking of Questions....

Might be a stupid question(s) but do I have to root my phone before using this guide or does this guide root it as well? If I do have to root first, what method is usually recommended? Thanks for the help guys and awesome guide!

no these roms are prerooted
That was confusing to me too as my phone is a Droid Incredible and you have to gain root with s-off on the HTC's. I guess the difference is that the Fascinate doesn't have a locked bootloader? Is that why we can just flash a new Rom without gaining additional security on the file system?

Yea for the most part... the only reason to root is if your staying on the stock rom and want to remove bloat and run rooted apps... all current custom roms for the fascinate will root the phone when flashing...so that step is no longer needed. If the device needed to be rooted before flashing, I would of mentioned it in the op of the guide. Follow the directions in the appropiate section for the rom your trying to flash and all will be good. ;)

Sorry for the million noobish questions, but looking at the instructions it is just putting a Rooted Rom right on top of the current system. I'd like to be able to do a Nandroid before flashing any Rom's.
