i dont know...but as you said it would be good if we has SOFF just like revolutionary way...but HTC has increased security/hard to crack...so these methods are kinda necessary to do SOFF

but good things do come with a price/effort

Yes you need the app Terminal Emulator and your device has to be rooted, but I imagine it already is.

:/ you can try this,
1.get a flash_image binary from a rom that has one if not here
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/34103290/flash_image

2.next use rootexplorer to move it to /system/bin on your phone

3.after that set permissions for it(hold the flash_image file till the menu pops out then select set permissions or something like that)

4.next in the permissions page tick all 9 of the boxes (not sure which to tick so i ticked all still works!)

5.reboot

6.open up terminal app

7.(For this i will be flashing a "recovery")(my recovery.img is in the root of my sdcard so)(this works for me but depends on individual phones i guess)
-su
-cd /sdcard
-flash_image recovery recovery.img

Also I have tried flashing recovery via Terminal Emulator but have not had any luck. Maybe you will have more luck with it .

if you did a little bit of search in my thread you would have gotten the answer by now

anyways im posting it again ..for your convenience

if you are stuck on controlbear screen or at middle of control bear process and want to revert back everything

To install the official ROM via OTA or a PM58IMG.zip file you mist have the correct CID for your carrier, you can not be Super CID. You also have to have the stock recovery on your device or the update will not install.

If you want to flash it via RUU you have to have all the HTC Sync drivers installed, a functioning USB cable, 50% battery or more on the device, and either the correct CID for your carrier or Super CID.

Using audio instead of the animation helped me to do the wire trick. I've generated 0.5 s tones followed by 1.75 s of silence. In this way you can watch what you're doing instead of watching the pc monitor.

Please make sure when you run the temp root.. It has ni errors inside

Also I've mentioned I'm the opening post on how to rum this

If you have adb/fastboot setup already you need to copy both the temp root files and then you should run those from there

If ypu didn't have the adb/fastboot ive given a link to the drivers.. You need to install those drivers then you should run the files from the downloaded directory

yeah , already had adb, so copied the temp files to that dir, still dont work?
