Does anybody know a way to flash this OTA update without full wiping and setting everything up again?

Assuming you're rooted with twrp, you could try unrooting and flashing stock recovery from twrp then applying update.

It didn't work for me but my system partition was probably still modified.

If it fails then wipe slate clean with qfil and go through the upgrades one by one

Yep, rooted with Magisk + Systemless Xposed. Good idea about flashing the stock recovery, but since it didn't work for you, probably it won't work for me too.
I just don't want to install 100+ apps again! If only we had a custom ROM! Freaking Lenovo...!

It is an option, but I think restoring apps+data sometimes causes problems. Also, I may have an OCD condition

on other devices with flashfire....I do not know if this works in lenovo,because the bootloader does not unlock...
but you can read & ask there if you want...

you can not make a flash the factory recovery via twrp & after update etc ..Is very dangerous !
just do not do it..
you can return to the factory condition of the device, take the update, and after if you want, rooting again etc..
For backup you can try & with this app is very good :

yes that is true, more and especially for custom roms (with Titanium)

Normally not...maybe bricked your device...Is a risky!

Did you try searching 'tether' in Settings? I think it has this option, but I'm not sure. I've switches to LOS so I can't check.

No....you want to go back to the factory image? In stock rom?
_ Just, take the stock rom from OP & flash it via QFIL / follow the instructions in OP carefully ! [depending on which model you have!]
(root & data will be deleted & your device will return to the factory condition - STOCK)
(after this,if you want rooted your device again without flashing any custom rom,you can do it or not/ this is a personal choice of everyone)
