Ok so the phone wouldn't turn on and when it did it just kept rebooting to the lg logo, it's an LG G3 D850 32gb, I flashed the LGD850_20140613_LGFLASHv160.DLL and LGD850AT-01-V10d-310-410-JUN-19-2014+0.tot files. I already chose the board_DLL option, same result.

So it was just boot looping before doing this? If so could be a hardware issue. OR battery issue which is common.

I'm wondering if it is a battery issue because I get a battery symbol with a loading wheel inside when I insert the battery before it starts the boot loop sequence. However I changed the battery and the samething happens, the phone won't even show the battery as charging, once the battery is in it just boot loops.

Hi,

I was on Resurection Remix and soft bricked trying to switch on Fulmics.
So i want to go back to stock.

I was planning to do the LGUp method but i'm not shure witch option to chose from these :

- UPGRADE TO MM from LP
- FULL WIPE AND INSTALL MM
- GO BACK TO LP FROM MM

I'm thinking the second is the good one but I'm not shure.

Any hint ?

Full wipe. Never upgrade you always want to fully wipe the device.

I'm planning on getting a new G3 since my old one just died on me. If I am planning to root the device, is it better to get D850 or D851? Also, for D851, which file would I download to use the LGUP method? D85110R_00.kdz, or LGD851AT_01_V10c.zip?

Tried a different computer got a new error :|

You are putting your device in download mode correct?? Freshly each time? Each time you attempt to flash you need to reboot download mode. Model info failed is commonly due to using USB 3.0 or not using a LG OEM cable. (Which the cable can matter)

A little word of advice for y'all: If the flash tools says things like can not read model, waiting for connection or can not enter DL mode, just wait it out.

I had the same happen to me, then the thing magically fixed itself and flashed no problems.

Those are two different devices. Sadly the device now is most likely hard bricked. You can't flash different model firmware.

You could try the "unbrick" guide which involves taking the phone apart and shorting pins. But most likely it's toast when doing that.

Welp that is extreme. Anyhow, i think my g3 is running still because i can feel the heat coming from it. I dont know how but could you or somebody explain it?

[Guide] LG G3 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock) KDZ & TOT Method With LGUP

LGUP Video Guide - Thanks to @KiaTheKing !
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPKcuYwDoxY

NEW LGUP Method. This one method can do BOTH TOT & KDZ!! Thanks To @shakeyabooti![/U][/B] Suggested use for the D855 ONLY! Other models use the previous methods.
Notes: This method is REQUIRED for flashing MM KDZ files downgrade from MM or upgrade to MM you must use this new method. Old KDZ method you cannot downgrade from MM.

    Download Files - LGUP_LG_G3.zip - 16.9 Mb
    KDZ & TOT files Here - http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G3/Stock/

This is the NEW KDZ Method for the LG G3!!! Thanks to @shakeyabooti !!

NEW software!!!!!...... LGUP WILL FLASH YOUR KDZ files
    Download LGUP from here: http://oceanhost.eu/545euinlq0hw/LGUP_LG_G3.zip.htm
Install LGUP_8994_DLL first and then LGUP
Make sure you have downloaded the required KDZ file MM or LP
Start LGUP prog on your computer "make sure your phone is plugged in"
If you have a problem that LGUP does not see your LG G3, leave your mobile connected via USB and leave LGUP running, restart your mobile, hopefully this will solve the problem.

TO UPGRADE TO MM from LP - make sure BIN file is ticked and in the File Path point it towards the MM KDZ you have downloaded. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CLICKED UPGRADE! This will update you from LP to MM with out wiping any of your info. Press Start. Make cup of tea and be patient

TO DO A FULL WIPE AND INSTALL MM - Open the LGUP on your computer. FILE PATH point it towards the MM KDZ.
    IMPORTANT!!!!!!! shut down LGUP!
Now open LGUP again - you will notice that the MM KDZ will still be showing in the FILE PATH section. Select REFURBISH and make sure BIN file is ticked. Press Start. Make cup of tea and be patient

TO GO BACK TO LP FROM MM - Open LGUP on your computer, click on FILE PATH and point it towards your LP KDZ. Close LGUP and re-open LGUP. Make sure you select REFURBISH this will do a full wipe, tick BIN file. Press Start. Make cup of tea and be patient

If you are worried about losing your data after a full wipe, why not use the LG Bridge software to backup and restore.... it works fine!
    YOU WILL LOSE ROOT!
There is no need to enter download mode! LGUP will do it for you.
