Hi,

I've flashed a file D85530n_00_0816.kdz via LG Flash Tool 2014.
After flashing, the phone said that Android is upgrading and try to install application. Then it restarted itself and now It is on bootloop. I tried to factory reset it but didn't worked.
Does anyone have a suggestion for that? Can It be a hardware failure?

Thanks.

Depends. What was your reason for flashing? Did you have an issue before? You did factory reset the phone correct?

LGUP Video Guide - Thanks to @KiaTheKing !
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPKcuYwDoxY

NEW LGUP Method. This one method can do BOTH TOT & KDZ!! Thanks To @shakeyabooti![/U][/B] Suggested use for the D855 ONLY! Other models use the previous methods.
Notes: This method is REQUIRED for flashing MM KDZ files downgrade from MM or upgrade to MM you must use this new method. Old KDZ method you cannot downgrade from MM.

Download Files - LGUP_LG_G3.zip - 16.9 Mb
KDZ & TOT files Here - http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G3/Stock/

This is the NEW KDZ Method for the LG G3!!! Thanks to @shakeyabooti !!

NEW software!!!!!...... LGUP WILL FLASH YOUR KDZ files
Download LGUP from here: http://oceanhost.eu/545euinlq0hw/LGUP_LG_G3.zip.htm
Install LGUP_8994_DLL first and then LGUP
Make sure you have downloaded the required KDZ file MM or LP
Start LGUP prog on your computer "make sure your phone is plugged in"
If you have a problem that LGUP does not see your LG G3, leave your mobile connected via USB and leave LGUP running, restart your mobile, hopefully this will solve the problem.

TO UPGRADE TO MM from LP - make sure BIN file is ticked and in the File Path point it towards the MM KDZ you have downloaded. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CLICKED UPGRADE! This will update you from LP to MM with out wiping any of your info. Press Start. Make cup of tea and be patient

TO DO A FULL WIPE AND INSTALL MM - Open the LGUP on your computer. FILE PATH point it towards the MM KDZ.
IMPORTANT!!!!!!! shut down LGUP!
Now open LGUP again - you will notice that the MM KDZ will still be showing in the FILE PATH section. Select REFURBISH and make sure BIN file is ticked. Press Start. Make cup of tea and be patient

TO GO BACK TO LP FROM MM - Open LGUP on your computer, click on FILE PATH and point it towards your LP KDZ. Close LGUP and re-open LGUP. Make sure you select REFURBISH this will do a full wipe, tick BIN file. Press Start. Make cup of tea and be patient

If you are worried about losing your data after a full wipe, why not use the LG Bridge software to backup and restore.... it works fine!
YOU WILL LOSE ROOT!
There is no need to enter download mode! LGUP will do it for you.

Hey guys, hope somebody gona be able to help me and hope my Lg G3 is salvable. I'm pretty sure I bricked it. Enjoy my story

Recently somebody give me a LG G3 D852 (Bell variante). When I got it, it was in 6.0. Since I wanted to root it, I tried to downgrade it to lollipop.
- At first, I followed the TOT method. But I simply just can't run LGUP on my main computer. I can't even install it. A computer problem, I don't really remember the error code. Don't really know why. Anyway, since it wasn't working I jumped to the LG Flash Tool method.
- While trying the KDZ Method with LG Flash Tool, I never been able to make it work. EVery time, while my phone is connected to my computer, in download mode, LF Flash Tool alway get stuck at arround 4% and tell me something like it wasn't able to connect to the phone and the only thing I can do is retry endlessly. Now, I abandon this methode to go back to LGUP with another computer.
- Now I tried to follow every steps of the TOT methode, but on another computer. Which seem to be working. I took the firmware TOT file from that "storagecow" website. I took the Bell_D852 file for canadian variant. Once the process been done, the phone restarted and now it's been stuck forever on a little android robot and a blue progress bar screen. I did tried to wait but after an hour I don't think it's normal.
- Since then, I can't do anything. The phone is stuck, I can go in download mode without problem, but LGUP doesn't recognize the phone anymore. It does detect the phone but doesn't want to do anything with it. LG Flash tool as never been working for me so doesn't help me either. Also I can't enter in factory reset mode anymore (which doesn't really surprise me).

If anybody could help me that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, have a nice day!

Sorry for the late reply. Been extremely busy the past few weeks.

LG flash tool kdz method wouldn’t of worked at all if the device was running MM 6.0. Only the tot method and LGUP works if the device was running MM. do you see anything unusual in device manager when the phone is connected in download mode? Like something with 9008 in the name?

Your running MM. You have to use LGUP. Flash tool is not supposed to work.

Hey, I'm sorry about the late reply, christmas time over, now able to get back to this.
So as for the device manager, no I don't see anything unusual. My phone is there as "LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM41)" while in download mode. Still not recognized by LGUP.

EDIT: got something new in my tries, I happen to get LGUP working, but just once, the process get stuck at 6% and I got en communication error. Now it doesn't recognize the phone anymore. Got an "Unknow Model" error.

EDIT 2 : ok, I think I got something. I can try LGUP only once and I have to restart my PC to make LGUP work again. Could it be because of wrong tot files? On the storagecow website, there's only 2 tot files for the d852 canadian model version, neither of those seem to work and now once I get my 6% error, I clicked on "click here to continue" and LGUP is telling me "The input file [D852] is not appropriate for this device model [] BinVersion []"

Yeah, bell should work. I always use Telus ones on my Koodo d852. Try downloading the latest one from lg firmware in kdz format. It also depends on what mode you flash it.

Can I use KDZ files with LGUP? As I use it, it seem I can only use tot files.

EDIT : I've tried others KDZ method (LG Flash tool, ...), falshing MM bell firmware, and nothing seem to be working, Every software keep giving me a phone connexion error what ever I do.

Yes I have only used kdz and never tried tot files. You just need to edit it when you search for a file.

Maybe it's a PC issue. Did you try a different usb port?

I did, I tried on differents usb ports, different cables, even on my second computer, not working on it either. I get something different on my second computer though. LGUP, on my second computer, won't even detect which model the phone is and I can't do anything with it. I've the possibility to try on a third computer if that could help...

I cant install a v20 version on my G3

Hi there
Thank you for your great post.
for the past two days, I've trying to downgrade my LG G3, my purpose is to install a custom rom (Lineage).
I have a G3 32 Gig with android 6. As I understand, I need to first downgrade it in order to root it.
At first, its software version was V30e but I manage to install a new version on it (now its V30b-Global-YT). I did that because I read somewhere the one click root wont work in V30e.
Now, I understand that it needs to be on Lollipop for rooting to work. So I'm trying to install a v20 version on my device.
I've tried these versions: D85510B_00, D85520A_00, D85520F, D85520h_00, D85520n_00, D85521a_00, D85530b_00_0812, D85620B_00.
however, as I mentioned earlier, only the installation of D85530b_00_0812 was successful. For this reason I know that I can install a new firmware, but I cant find the right version.

PS. I bought my phone in Iran, its 32 gig and I'm using Windows 10.
I also used LG Flash Tool 2014 for the installation.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Sorry not sure I understand but are you saying you rename the KDZ file to a TOT file and then flash. I have the same issue in that UG UP only seems to be looking for TOT files and there's no option to change it KDZ files.

*Edit* Dont worry I've used the V10e EUR TOT file and that's got me back to stock from latest Lineage build. Geez this phone is so slow on stock firmware compared to the Linage build. Will be very sad to see it go though as it almost the perfect size & shape for my hands. :(
