If people are interested in exploring then I encourage trying, but using the correct methods. If the 'fastboot boot' command is used instead of 'fastboot flash' to initially try a kernel (e.g. boot.img) then no harm is done, rebooting the phone will revert to the original kernel. If the new kernel boots fine then 'fastboot flash' it....Trying an incorrect boot image on your phone is s a "DAMIHIK" moment, right?![]()
That's a low risk way of trying different things out. Still a fair amount of risk without yet having a custom recovery.
But I know exactly those moments you refer to! :crying:
