As I'm sure you guys know by now, version 11.0.7.7 is upon us. Got the notification a few hours ago.

djmcnz --> Please work your magic as you've always done and post original and modified versions of the 11.0.7.7 kernel. Many thanks, we'll be waiting.

OP8 OOS 11.0.7.7 Global w/Root (Magisk) + Stock

Please update to the latest version of Magisk (23001 at the time of this post) and reboot before you download the OTA.

These files are kernel images to load (flash) over existing partitions using fastboot. If you have fastboot working you can use these files to update your ROM. These files are not the full ROM, you need that (v11.0.7.7) installed before the files below will be useful to you.

Stock Kernel: OP8_Global_11.0.7.7.Stock.img
Stock MD5: OP8_Global_11.0.7.7.Stock.img.md5

Patched (Magisk 23001) Kernel: OP8_Global_11.0.7.7.Magisk_23001.img
Patched (Magisk 23001) MD5: OP8_Global_11.0.7.7.Magisk_23001.img.md5

All tested and verified on an IN2010.

Remember, you should always test the kernel before you flash it:

Code:
test (temp): fastboot boot <kernel_name>.img
flash (perm): fastboot flash boot <kernel_name>.img

Does this work with 11.0.7.7.IN11AA?

Were you able to download the OTA?
I cannot, update starts & immediately stops with a message "Couldn't update, Installation problem."
That's most likely because you're trying to update a rooted ROM, that won't work.

You need to install the correct stock boot image for your ROM, then update via OTA, then apply a rooted kernel.

Since you're using the Global ROM you can use the stock file from my 11.0.7.7 post (a page or so back), update via the OTA then flash my modified 11.0.8.8 files from the post above.

It's possible but it's a convoluted process and you need root already.

What model and ROM are you using?
    Model: IN2013
    ROM: Oxygen OS 11.0.8.8.IN21AA

I even thought of temporarily booting from OP8_Global_11.0.8.8.Magisk_23001.img file to have root access and then using terminal emulator on the phone to download the boot.img file, then patch and test it and install it with ADB.

Just updated to 11.0.2.2.IN21AA and tried to flash but still didn't work are you on IN2015?

Edit: I got it to work! So basically i reread the posts and since I didn't uninstall the mondules on Magisk prior to updating. I had to run in the cmd "adb wait-for-device shell magisk --remove-modules" during the bootloop, which removes the modules that were previously installed, but not compatible with the update. It booted up immediately and Magisk is installed.
