no i did not even touch TWRP.
i follow the guide to the letter, right after the CMD -> reboot -> (open magisk manager so it downloads some stuffs) no it didn't download any stuffs, so i click on install magisk via direct link, and voila the failed command.
The guide does not say to you install magisk using direct install.
You need to patch the file boot.img and then flash it to the boot partition using fastboot.
Please, read the guide carefuly.

It says "No such file or directory".
So, you need to copy the desired files to the folder you are using.

Hi everyone,
when I tried to reboot after flashing my Redmi 9 got into a bootloop. The battery has depleted but that hasn't solved it. I can't get to fastboot with power+voldown. anymore, just the Redmi logo flashing again and again.
I could remove the back cover. can I fix it by getting it to edl or something?
If anyone has a solution please send it. I hope I didn't brick my device for good.

hello everybody,

I tried this method with magisk on angelica_eea_global_images_V12.0.9.0.QCREUXM_20210806.0000.00_10.0_eea

that is to say on MIUI 12.0.9.0 wich suits to my french xiaomi redmi 9C.

All that I get is endless boot loop :-(

I think they vaccinate against magisk from MIUI 12.0.4 to MIUI 12.0.9.
lol
What do think ?

Since our device still no TWRP Support, i will give you a simple guide how to root redmi 9 using magisk. Original guide is here
Big Thanks to @N3OMOD :good::good::good:
EDIT: NO FORMAT DATA REQUIRED BUT BACKUP ALWAYS RECOMMENDED

REQUIREMENT :
- Already UNLOCK BOOTLOADER
- Magisk Manager
- Internet Connection
- Your PC already installed adb&fastboot driver
- Boot.img from your current MIUI version (EXTRACTED FROM MIUI FULL RECOVERY ROM)
- vbmeta.img

Known Limitation:
- Can't modify system partition
- Maybe cause selinux problem

How to:
STEP 1

- Backup Always Recommended
- Install Magisk Manager
- Turn ON Internet Connection and Open Magisk Manager
- Press install button > select method patch a file > choose boot.img from your current miui version > WAIT UNTIL DONE

fastboot-disable-verity-disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta_redmi9.img (אזהרה: אם לא מצליח לגרום לאתחול)

אתחול הבזק של fastboot magisk_patched.img

MIUI 11.0.3.0-11.0.6.0 GLOBAL ID, 11.0.7.0-11.0.8.0 GLOBAL

ש: Bootloop?
ת: השבתת vbmeta לא הצליחה, השתמש ב- adb fastboot בהערה שלי או ב- boot stock.img

I did everything successfully according to the guide and I have BOOTLOOP
The first time I got an error with the vbmeta file and continued until the end, probably this is the reason, what to do? Please it's urgent

If anybody is wondering it's also working for new Android 11 Miui 12.0.1 update. Successfully flashed changed boot.img from miui_LANCELOTEEAGlobal_V12.0.1.0.RJCEUXM_5296a84759_11.0.zip and booted into system :)

Good catch, I missed this information when I had a look!

It seems to be a issue with the app he's using!

DevCheck by Flar2 (who does the ElementalX kernel for years on many different devices) reports the android version correctly - and I personally trust rather Flar2's App then anything else!

Should be just a bug in the App that OP uses...

Edit: also selinux appears to be disabled in OPs screenshot, I wonder if he did this on purpose or what the deal is (another App bug?) because usually Magisk patches selinux but doesn't disable it, at least from my experience...

idk sir, i just download root check app & open it after root successfully ??
