Steps I follow to update:Good day,
If someone could help that would be great. I converted my le2127 to EU. So currently on 11.2.7.7 with rooted, magisk boot.img. What is the best way to update to .8.8 while keeping everything intact? I may have also tripped l1 to l3 what would the process be if I wanted to try and relock and unlock again now with the conversion?
Thanks very much.
Disable/remove all magisk modules and reboot. Mine stopped running hot after this, and I've been adding them back one by one.Not sure if the right thread, but I see my phone running super hot as well. Haven't compared it to battery drain yet but I assume one in the same.
That could have been the reason. I've always rebooted from Magisk which is the recommended way.I had some terrifying experience during last update.
Downloaded FULL OTA and installed until reboot prompt
Went to Magisk, installed with option after OTA
Went back to FULL OTA install dialog and hit reboot.
Then it got stuck in a bootloop of "android unlocked bootloader warning". After few reboots it went into recovery with some strange errors. Something like cannot create user .... I hit reboot in recovery once again, and then it booted normaly.
Maybe issue was because I hit reboot on OTA install, and not in Magisk install dialog?
I've also experienced this, and yesterday I actually got the Android System warning about overheating then recovery a few minutes later, but it could have been in part due to being outside in extremely hot weather (over 100F/38C here) and direct sunlight so the phone was at high brightness. I'm running Omega kernel so usually my phone runs cooler than stock kernel, but temp seems less consistent since the OOS 11.2.8.8 update. Not sure if the right thread, but I see my phone running super hot as well. Haven't compared it to battery drain yet but I assume one in the same.

Question where is the full zip at? For the ones that would like to install it and patch the boot.img ourselves.

Remove Repainter applicationthe same happened to me. I thought it would be a matter of doing a hard reset but I don't think that would be enough. I hope someone has solved it and could share the solution.

You can download the EU stock boot.img that's in this thread (2nd post), download the latest magisk canary manager and patch that boot.img. Then you can temporarily gain root by rebooting to bootloader and booting that image ex. "fastboot boot boot.img"( your boot.img name will vary after patching). After the phone boots you can just go into magisk manager and do a "direct install" and that will patch your global boot.img to gain permanent root.
Anyone with an original and patched boot image for the EU version:
