Yeah I did read it before proceeding. The thing is, now it does not say it just like it did in previous oxygen os builds.

I mean, I did download from settings app, it first says "Downloading", and then it says "Extracting" whith is actually installing, and then it says "Apply update" and all of a sudden phone restarts, I thought it would run the progress bar again and wait for me to press reboot but it just installed right away. I hope I remember next time!

I also noticed this behavior. I'm running the AA firmware (F18). First I can download the OTA, but not install it. Then i'm given the option to reboot. When I choose to reboot, only then the update will install and directly after that reboot.
So i don't have the luxury to flash magisk before reboot, but after install.

For some reason, the oneplus updater app method won't work for me, so i have to manually extract the boot.img and patch it every time there is an update.

Can someone help me? My device won't show up at all when trying to connect via USB. It's always a code 45 when I see it pop up on device manager. This was after the OTA update via Oxygen Updater. I restored my phone and my PC and still the PC won't detect my phone. Hope somebody can help.

I tried the above way with incremental OTA and it failed. I tried both as described via Magisk->Restore images and with fully uninstalled Magisk and reflashing stock boot. Nothing works, it throws "installation problem" anyway.
Any suggestions? How to troubleshoot this?

I solved the problem by:
-deactivation of all modules and complete uninstallation of magisk
- restart in fastboot mode and
flashing the original boot.img image (fastboot flash boot_a boot.img then fastboot flash boot_b boot.img)
-and performed the update

Thank you, I already performed the clean flashing and updating from scratch. Next time I will be doing incremental update I will tell you

Does anyone know if anyone has successfully updated to f20 using TWRP?
I'm afraid to try cuz I don't have my computer, it doesn't work at the moment. I'm trying to update to f20 without losing root and at the moment I can't figure it out.
any advice greatly appreciated.

Also, I read that this update could be failing because of TWRP. Then after reading further they said it's not because of that. So not sure

Download update
Uninstall magisk (restore images)
Flash f18 boot.img with exkm or similar
Install update
Install magisk to inactive slot (after ota)
Reboot
Confirm update
Flash TWRP with magisk
Install magisk (direct install)
Reboot

I had to give up on TWRP when I got my OP9pro a year and a half ago. Bricked it, recovered it, and haven't needed TWRP since.

Did this month's LE2125_11_F.20 update tonight in the usual way, no issues: downloaded the update with OxygenUpdater, switched to Magisk app and uninstalled Magisk, used the local "System Update" app to then install the update, went back to Magisk and re-installed "to inactive slot", and then rebooted. All good! Thanks to everyone who makes this possible!

I do certainly appreciate those steps. I'm updated and good to go now. I forgot all about flashing the stock boot image in EKM.

I just updated to F.20 and I see no notable improvements, nor deterioration. It's all the same, even the mobile hotspot issue left the same, though it looks like carrier issue.
Though, I updated to F.18 from F.17 only couple of weeks ago, so I am not the person able to differentiate version-dependent changes btw F.18/F.20.

I wanna say more about F.20 after several days of usage: do not update those who have TMO version. The SIM becomes non-functional, only wifi-calling works for calls.
This probably only affects guys who like me has LE2117 converted to global LE2115 ROM and do not affect real LE2115, but I'm not sure. On F.18 there were no such problem on my phone.
