Download latest TWRP IMAGE (not the zip) for OP9P, hold vol + and - and power to boot to bootloader. Then fastboot boot TWRP img you downloaded. One TWRP loads, factory reset the phone, when down sideload the TWRP you download from the link below. Then reboot to system and let me know what happens. Hopefully your phone will boot to system and TWRP will be your recovery...update me on what happens

Unfortunately TWRP hasn't worked for me on this model. I used it with other models fine. On this one it asks for a password to decrypt the user partition. Whether I enter the correct password or not, it says invalid password. Even if remove the password it still asks for a password and default_password doesn't work either.

Sideloading fails too.

I might be able to wipe the phone but was trying to avoid that since it appears to be a Magisk patching issue related to the latest OnePlus update. I've used the same process in the past without issues, so hopefully the devs can take a look.

To be more precise, I think it worked with Android 12, but I can't remember for sure.

I found this guide that claims you can remove a file in order to use TWRP, but since I'm not rooted at the moment, I can't do that.

Correct. But I haven't been able to use TWRP since Android 13, possibly 12, can't remember.

But the issue I'm having is really more with Magisk, not TWRP. But if that problem can be fixed that's great too!

The way I did it was to temporarily boot A12 TWRP from bootloader with fastboot boot TWRP.img then sideload this TWRP.......

Then boot to system, then use adb reboot recovery and from there install magisk v26.1 then boot to system and open magisk and follow prompts...

You may need to unlock bootloader and root the phone, then flash US/Global modem.img to make that happen. Not a 100% sure, but seems reasonable. Or use a global MSM Tool to get away from the TMO firmware. If needed, I have the TMO to Global MSM Tool.

I will take a look at that, def don't care about the Tmo firmware. Been out of the rooting scene for some time, but sure videos out there to guide me through. Thanks

Make sure to got to settings/about phone/ tap on build number about 7 times to enable developer options, then back out one step to settings/system/developer options and enable USB debugging and default USB Configuration as file transfer. Then back to home screen. On PC, Google search latest OnePlus USB drivers and latest Qualcomm USB drivers and download them. Search also "disable driver signing" on windows for your windows version 7 or 10 and do that before installing drivers. Reboot PC and there should be a watermark in the lower right corner of home screen on PC that says test mode before installing drivers. After installing drivers, reboot PC. Any other questions then post.

Make sure your oxygen updater is set to incremental rather than full.

Hi, why you use 25.2? I also see in the main thread that the EU is patched with 25.2. Is there any issues or else? For me it didn't worked immediately after the update and I had to re-root it, but it seems to work fine with 26.1. BTW, this time for me it appeared first in Oxygen Updater the full zip. Previous times it was first in setting as incremental which fails, then I got the full.
