You seem to have forgotten one step in the updating. If you were already rooted with Magisk, after downloading the zip and before flashing it, you have to use "Uninstall Magisk" button in the Magisk app and in the next screen choose 'Restore Image'. Afterwards you flash the zip and then open Magisk and install to inactive slot before booting.
I have been following the same steps that I posted earlier for updating and today I updated to F16 without any issues.
Ok, I've fastbooted int c66magisked.img, directed installed and rebooted. Now I've got root back but I'm still on the c65 version. The process to go from c65 to f16 isn't very clear for me. Do I have to OTA update or do I have to manually download? So without root now you can update to any Rom version you prefer and then root your device.
One way is to boot to fastboot, boot temporarily in root more with patched magisk boot and then perform a direct install through the magisk app.
It's the same procedure to update and root for Android 13, as for Android 12.Ok, I've fastbooted int c66magisked.img, directed installed and rebooted. From the system updateer I don't see the f16 version ando only the c66 so I would like to use the Oxygen Updater.
The OU show me the f16 version but it's the whole system I suppose, not a patch, cause it's 4,42GB.
The process would be, download the whole package, install it using the local updater and then as always install Magisk to the inactive slot, than rebooting. Is it the good way to go on?
Thanks
F16 is Android 13 whereas C65 or 66 is A12. So you will have to download and install the whole ROM since it is a version change. The rest as RASTAVIPER says.Ok, I've fastbooted int c66magisked.img, directed installed and rebooted. Now I've got root back but I'm still on the c65 version. I missed the uninstall step and now whatever options I select it reboot in fastboot mode, tried to flash both patched and unpatched .img file to no avail, what can I do?Follow the exact same steps as for the other updates.
Oxygen Updater, download the ROM.
Open Magisk, Uninstall Magisk, Restore Image.
Open System Updater (or whatever is shown for the OPLocalUpdate For A12 app), Local Upgrade and flash the ROM.
Open Magisk, Install to Inactive Slot.
Reboot & Enjoy!
fastboot --set-active=b
fastboot flash boot LE2123_11_F.16_boot_unpatched.img
fastboot boot LE2123_11_F.16_boot_magiskpatched.img
I got that problem using a patched boot for another version different than my OS. You mut fastboot boot patchedfile of your same OS and device. Can anybody tell me how to properly install Magisk on Oos 13 because I've been getting stuck in Qualcomm Dump Mode when I tried flashing Magisk
I read somewhere on XDA that you need to be on C6x before flashing F16.can I flash my 9pro EU directly from A12 C47 to A13 F16? Or do I have to take the detour via C65? Without data loss. Thanks!
Device and ROM version? And where did you get the patched file?Hello. i was downloaded patched boot f16 2125 and boot it from fastboot and got loooong loading screen and nothing happens....just nothing untll reboot again. whats wrong?
That is, if the bootloader is unlocked. Otherwise you won't be able to flash the patched img.after being full virgin with original boot.img (no root) I would let the system update by itself. Then grab the corresponding original boot.img, magisk it and flash the magisked boot.img following our guide in this thread

1.No, the full update is not available for the op9p. The oxygen updater app only provides the incremental.
2. Would I take the update using settings, update, and let it take the OTA route? Or would I use the local update option within the system settings update app? I think I recall seeing a local update option some time back.
Hi Nabril,Thanks cerj
Yes, I did restore the image before attempting the update.
You could use the original/virgin boot.img from the Rollback package, it has LE2125 OP9P :Thanks cerj
Yes, I did restore the image before attempting the update.

You can download the EU stock boot.img that's in this thread (2nd post), download the latest magisk canary manager and patch that boot.img. Then you can temporarily gain root by rebooting to bootloader and booting that image ex. "fastboot boot boot.img"( your boot.img name will vary after patching). After the phone boots you can just go into magisk manager and do a "direct install" and that will patch your global boot.img to gain permanent root.
Anyone with an original and patched boot image for the EU version:
