How to install oos 13 with root?
I don't think soHow to install oos 13 with root?
It's ok uninstall magisk and restore boot
install oos 13
Magisk install into slot inactive
Right?
Download the full.zip for your LE device using Oxygen Updater : it will donwload the whole package at the root of the storage.
Before doing anything, and depending on what magsik module you are using : disable every Magisk Module then reboot your device
Once done install a dedicated APK that will be called My application2 once installeed ( https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OnePlus_tools.apk => this file have a .apk.zip extension : you have to rename the package, deleting the .zip extension to let it end with .apk)
Launch My Application 2 using local upgrade, it will directly shows you the full zip package
At the end of the process DO NOT REBOOT
Go to Magisk Manager => Flash Magisk to the inactive slot and reboot
If you choose uninstall magisk instead of disabling every module, you'll save yourself two reboots. Uninstalling magisk (restore images) disables modules in the process. Other than that, I do exactly the same.I don't think so
If you use the O+ internal updater, installing OOS13 will reboot the device itself at the end of the process, so you'll have to temp boot to a prepatched magisk boot.img to re root your device.
What I did is what I call the good old way :
Download the full.zip for your LE device using Oxygen Updater : it will donwload the whole package at the root of the storage.

Go to Magisk Manager => Flash Magisk to the inactive slot and reboot
Et voila, enable every magisk modules, reboot, you're done
Yeah, but for some reasons, some have trouble with that choice, Magisk send a message were orig boot.img cannot be found or stuff like this.If you choose uninstall magisk instead of disabling every module, you'll save yourself two reboots. Uninstalling magisk (restore images) disables modules in the process. Other than that, I do exactly the same.
This one worked for me as the one by OP didn't.The attached zip contains the EU unpatched and patched boot images for LE_2123_11_F.16 updates.
I have a 2127 converted to 2125 and everything is working on my end. Do you have a Magisk module that isn't compatible with OS 13 installed? My home button isn't working now. The gesture to go home with with either. I can't get to the home screen after updating to android 13. LE2125
I just turned off all my modules and it still wont work. How can I roll back? Only the back button works. Also every time I reset my phone the black display defaults back to white.I have a 2127 converted to 2125 and everything is working on my end. Do you have a Magisk module that isn't compatible with OS 13 installed?
:/ Damn, not sure what it could be than.. I went from OS 12 to 13 without wiping anything and everything is working fine. Sorry, not sure what else to do.

That's odd, I'm getting a lot better battery life on f-18. I use my phone for work and usually about 8 hours into my 12-hour shift I charge my phone when it gets to 20%Friends, how is yours battery status after upgrade to F.18?
The battery dies in the eyes.
I don't know if it's the fault of FW or maybe the fault of Magisk, which I uninstalled and reinstalled - between the update from F.17 to F.18 I didn't do anything else with the system or applications.

You can download the EU stock boot.img that's in this thread (2nd post), download the latest magisk canary manager and patch that boot.img. Then you can temporarily gain root by rebooting to bootloader and booting that image ex. "fastboot boot boot.img"( your boot.img name will vary after patching). After the phone boots you can just go into magisk manager and do a "direct install" and that will patch your global boot.img to gain permanent root.
My method:This seems way too easy. After reading several attempts and resulting soft bricks and whatnot, you're saying:
Uninstall magisk (or just the app?)
(Won't this leave you unrooted and unable to install magisk alpha?)
Install magisk alpha
Reboot
Local update to a12
Don't reboot
Install magisk (alpha) to inactive slot after ota
Reboot
I'm holding off on a12 until a kernal or two are available, bugs are worked out, and a crystal clear update method.
