Friends, how is yours battery status after upgrade to F.18?


The battery dies in the eyes.
I don't know if it's the fault of FW or maybe the fault of Magisk, which I uninstalled and reinstalled - between the update from F.17 to F.18 I didn't do anything else with the system or applications.

If anything, a very slight better drain rate, in my case. I get 0.4% per hour idle drain as against 0.5% on F 17.

Phenomenal result. In my case, something went ****ed up.

The battery is disappearing in the eyes.
I don't know how to verify what is consuming so much power. Is it the fault of some process that runs all the time? The phone doesn't even seem to go into a deep sleep state.

Something feels that a reinstallation of the system is getting ready. How I don't want to do it - massacre!

With the new Lineage 20 rollout, do I need to update my Oneplus 9 Pro to Android 13 before install? When I installed Lineage 19.1, I had to have Android 12 up and running. I'm not sure if the Lineage Wiki site has been updated yet because it still says to have Android 12 installed first. I tried to install Lineage 20 on top of Android 12 (ADB Sideload), and the phone acted like it accepted it but the OP9P rebooted/stayed in Android 12 and Lineage 19.1.
Any opinions are appreciated.

That's odd, I'm getting a lot better battery life on f-18. I use my phone for work and usually about 8 hours into my 12-hour shift I charge my phone when it gets to 20%
After update I didn't have to charge my phone at all and when I got home it was at 35%.
I use my phone for the same exact thing every night at work I have to do all my logs and send emails, and it's always about the same amount of usage every night.
Definitely better battery life for me.

I guess this time when I'm installing clean soft I'll turn to custom roms.
I have my eye on two:
1. crDroid
2. nameless AOSP

I will fine tune them with KERNEL from blu_spark.

Hi guys. My phone was rooted but every an update drops, i have to re-root the phone because root access gets lost after an update. But this time I have flashed the patched magisk but i still dont have root access. But the rooted apps like adaway have started working but magisk app doesnt show superuser, it is dimmed out. Any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Dirty flash the ROM again your on.

I had this problem before and I can't remember how I fixed it. maybe, I cleared the data in Google Play services and the Google Play store.

I know I fixed it without using MSM tool..

I was on oos13 , msm to a11 gave L1 but updating to c.66 is again showing L3

hello i had root while using oos12, forgot to do magisk slot thing.
and i dirty updated oos 13, f73. i'm trying to root now but nothing working.

-downloaded original f73 boot.img and flashed in magisk, copied new modded img into pc folder. in fastboot mode i did "fastboot boot magisk_patched.img" .
phone does not opening, stacks in oneplus logo. power off with 3 buttons, restart phone, no root.

-downloaded magisk modded f73 boot.img and flashed in magisk.

nothing works. should i use "fastboot flash" command to write modded boot.img? or what should i do?

You say doesn't open meaning phone doesn't work. Doesn't operate normal?

ok, I got it - I used the OxygenOS 13 F.73 boot from the first post. I don't know why the version of my OOS states that I'm on F.18 instead of F.73. Works like a charm.

I have a problem and I didnt see anybody with the same problem. Im on F73 version, I patched my boot.img, and when I want to temporarily boot the patched boot.img, it works ok so phone reboots but in the middle of the process it reboots again, so when I try to enter Magisk app and direct intall, I cant becuase that option is gone. I am not able to root the phone. (I was rooted in A11 and I updated my phone with successives OTAs until last one that was F73, so I wanted to gain root again following the initial way).
I also tried booting twrp and flashing magisk.zip but twrp said that there was nothing in my internal memory. I dont know what else to try
