First, please remove the quote of the whole first post - it's way too long.
Second, I didn't make it. It's from @Blackball who made a similar guide for VKY (P10 Plus). So it's just the VKY Recovery but after testing it on 7 VTR I used it for my guide.
Third, you want to change the partition table? Do you know what this mean? If you're not 100% sure what you want to do, leave it. You can fullbrick your phone!
Thank you, I just want to make /System more space, so I want to try to make a partition table as .img, and flash it.

Probably it's me, but I cant seem to get my VTR-L09C432B180 to Oreo. When I look here, the first FullOTA-MF filelist with all three files is from 2017.12.04. I installed this, but this is Nougat.

Any idea's?

If you type in the full build number it will only display that build. Not newer ones (with larger numbers after the letter B). Search for VTR-L09C432 and use the most recent full build. Always a good idea to determine official compatibility with your IMEI using in the firmware App as determined by your carrier. Good luck.

Func NO : 11 (recovery image)

"ERROR MODE"
Attention! Please update system again

Error!
Func NO : 11 (recovery image)
Error NO : 2 (load failed!)

Solution:
1、enter fastboot
2、fastboot flash system system.img
3、reboot
OK

oreoupdate.zip in update-binary:
"echo --update_package=/sdcard/oreoupdate/update.zip >> /cache/recovery/command"
I think should be "echo --update_package=/sdcard/oreoupdate/update.zip > /cache/recovery/command"
Successfully modified

I think you'll flash stock recovery back before this is done, or it will reboot to the twrp again

Mistake

Hi I have a problem rigth now, I hope you can give me a hand

I had Nougat on my Huawei P10, my bootloader is unlocked.

I did a perfect upgrage to oreo with your post and thanks a lot for that. But when I tried to use my baking apps I couldnt because they noticed me I had root and I dont know If have the bootloader unlocked is considered like root, I suppose yes. So I was searching information about that and I found that I can fix this problem with a custom kernel, so I tried.

I installed a new TWRP following this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-lite/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-oreo-t3777582

I donwloaded custom kernel from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-plus/development/kernel-hyperplus-kernel-oreo-t3753128

then I tried to install the custom kernel with the TWRP so I chose the zip file that I downloaded from the link above and everything bad started. I got red words and I was scared, I reboot my phone but always boot in the recovery mode, so I think I did something I should not, as I had the files for the upgrade in my sd card, I tried to upgrade again my phone but again I got red words in the screen. After that my phone stucked in: Your device is unlocked and cant be verified, your device is booting now...

I can enter to the bootloader mode. but nothing more. When I try to enter to the recovery mode this screen appears:

"ERROR MODE"
Attention! Please update system again

Error!
Func NO : 11 (recovery image)
Error NO : 2 (load failed!)

I dont know what to do, can I fix my p10 after that?

I received the l29c432b369 update from huawei OTA, I saw in FF there is 369a,what the difference?
After Reading the change log there seems to be no differences. But there are no information about it. You can wait a few days.

If someone loves the risk: can someone try the small OTA package with my script? I wanted to try it this weekend but my SD card is lost...damn small thing.

Hello.

First thanks so much for your work, it's a good way to simplify things..........

i already use your tuto 2 as well.

But i have not the impression to have original, some visuals things as too low fps.

so if i try this n3, do you thinks it's a best way?

Thanks again

VTR-L29C432B369 from official update after tuto 2

hum........ afraid, angry......hum... i will wait.... my old grand mother always said... the better is the ennemy of the good
First: please remove the quote of the whole first post. It's unnecessary long. You could've qouted just a part or just mention me with an @.

My script just tells the stock recovery what it has to install. The recovery I provide is modified, so it doesn't do a check of bootloader and root.
The firmware is provided by Huawei and the links for it are provided by TeamMT.
You're on stock when you install a downloaded firmware. There's no difference between the tutorials, it's always stock EMUI.

If you notice any bugs, then they're caused by EMUI or by you (installed apps, changed system files with root etc.). Also those bugs you mentioned can be caused by wiping partitions. I have to say that I really don't know what exactly emui recovery do while it installs the firmware.
A factory reset will fix this in most cases. Just boot into eRecovery and do a factory reset (BL ist locked after this).

An update is just an update, not a new installation.

Tutorial 3 ist just a faster and easier method to install an update if it's already released by Huawei.

Creepy, which model do you have? Is the firmware I provided for your model? (VTR-L29C432 or VTR-L09C432)
Hi, Unfortunately I have the same problem like other guy in this post. . I used your tut #1 and everything worked fine but now I'm in 8.0.0.0.46 and I know why: I committed a mistake, my version was VTR-L09C25 :( :(. Do you know how can I rebrand my P10 to C432? First I have to downgrade to Nougat? How?

Please help!

What rom you flash before bootloop? Of you flash Oreo rom try Oreo Upgrade solution to update to newer version of Oreo rom 360 > 365 > 369 If you be able to flash rom you will receive stock recovery and if you phone again say in boot go into recovery or eRecovery and wipe system, dalvic, cache and reboot device. This is how i'm solved my bootloop one time.
Just you need to know what rom you flash and stay in boot and you will easely know what rom you need to download for again to flash STEP 2 Oreo Ugrade

I mean OREO UPDATE step 2 not Oreo Upgrade (this is from Nouget to Oreo)

Hi,

Thank you to reply, I'm thinking in use this guide later: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/how-to/guide-to-rollback-huawei-p10-oreo-to-t3735156
I found B217 is a rollback rom so I will try to downgrade to Nougat with it, but before the VTR-L09 8.0.0.046 (04VT) my version was VTR-L09 C25, but the guide above says that to downgrade we need VTR-L09 C900 B217 even if your are in C432.
What do you think? Can I use C900 without any problem?
