When you download piedowngrade_pack.zip check md5 then unzip it and you get piedowngrade.zip that's the one you install in twrp, read carefully tutorial and my post, should work properly.

Can I upgrade to pie from AOSP 9.0?

If only the system image is different that should work but I can't confirm because didn't flash over any custom rom. To be certain maybe ask in custom rom threads about tested method to go back to stock rom then update to pie.

If you backed up the system image before you flashed the ROM, please restore it first and do a factory reset, just so be safe.
I bricked my phone trying to do this. First it was a softbrick, I think it was because the missing factory reset on stock rom.
Then I installed the wrong downgrade files, which was a dump mistake, but this is another topic.
Uh, that is scary. And thanks for your help, in this case I will definitely restore the stock rom first, and only if that boots will I flash the EMUI 9.
How can we update from p157 to p163 (pie)? I tried the #4 tutorial from Jannomag, but it doesn't work out.
@aalmeida1972 try to use my piedowngrade script i should work for pie upgrade also. You will find it few posts earlier.
How can pie downgrade, will help, if I want to update? If so where where can I find the steps? Thanks
@lukastob Modified the script so the partition names are correct. The recovery partitions was called recovery_ramdisk_a on Oreo, now on Pie it's just recovery_ramdisk.
I'm ready with Tutorial #5, but I need the stock recovery_ramdis.img from latest Pie update.APP. It would be great, if someone has it and can upload it for me. At the moment the download would take too long for me (3 hrs).

I'll release Tutorial #5 tomorrow when I have the time. Oreos TWRP still works under Pie, but without decryption, maybe sideload and mtp. But for flashing my script it will be enough.
