Hey guys,

long time ago i rooten any phone - so i wanna be sure i´m not brik my phone.

Are these steps ok?
1. i unlock my bl
2. Download the recovery ramdisk image
3. Flash the image to recovery ramdisk through fastboot
(Command: fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdisk.img)
4. Reboot and keep the Vol+ button pressed to start to recovery mode
5. install latest magisk manager canary build - download here (the link is not working anymore)
so i can take this here? Klick ???

The magisk manager apk i install just after i flash the recovery image via fastboot right?

You should flash a magisk patched recovery ramdisk. Magisk canary build is not necessary, Beta and Stable magisk works fine.

You mean the ramdisk from OP?
Or is there another one i should take?

Thx
The ramdisk from OP might work but I suggest to get the latest stock recovery_ramdisk of your current fw. Patch it with Magisk then flash. You should also flash magisk immediately after factory reset via stock recovery or else phone and messaging app will crash.

@OldDroid
Till date I am using EMUI Flasher 1.1 for updating my Huawai P30 Pro, no problem at all everything works fine with me. But now I have a question will this method still works 9.1 to 10. I am bit worrying about flashing EMUI 10 over 9.1. EMUI 10 firmware is in my hand.
Expert advice needed so that I'll go ahead.

Thanks,
goldybewon

Can anyone help me with my issue? I bought a used Mate 20 Pro, and I wasn't aware that the previous owner flashed the fw to another region (c636) and now I'm not getting any OTA updates. I want to reflash the fw back to my region so I can start receiving the OTA updates from my carrier. However, I'm not sure which FW version I should be downloading/installing. I'm in Canada on the Koodo network. As per my device, my build is LYA-L29 9.0.0.265(C636E10). As per Huawei, I should be on the C792 region. Please help.

Use HiSuite to do a full factory restore, it will automatically be restored to the "official" firmware of your device. Data may or may not be wiped.

how do you use HiSuite to do a full factory restore? There was no option for me to do so. When i clicked system recovery, it tells me that my phone is fine.
