You can but you must to pay for it.
Use dc unlocker then you can get unlock bootloader key.
Can. I do last week unlock with that tool on Mate 9.
Look in support of that device in that tool maybe is also able.
well, this is the mate 20 pro forum and i know that to be able to unlock the bootloader you have to buy a code that comes from huaweis servers, and not from a tool that calculates a code thru a exploit in older emui versions.

I'm sure the unlock will work on any fw. Just gotta be patient and check once in awhile if bootloader unlock codes a available. I'm gonna keep bugging Huawei for a code since warranty is almost up anyway

Finally uploaded to EMUI 10
Has anyone uploaded a patched recovery_ramdisk.img with magisk 20.3 for EMUI 10?

Can't seem to find one in here... I'm I going blind or is no one talking about rooting for EMUI 10?

Damn! Well it WAS unlocked....
I flashed twrp, but I couldn't remember how to boot the recovery_ramdisk. I remember it changed in 9.1, you had to go to factory reset and it would boot it.
Except this time it just factory reset straight away without rebooting (I think I did it from the wrong menu)
The factory reset relocked the bootloader. Now I can't unlock it again in EMUI 10.

Trying to figure out how to downgrade back to 9.1 again so I can unlock it again. I tried using a 9.1 dload method except I got some compatibility error. I gotta go to work now but I'll try again later today.

EDIT: All good... didn't realise you could downgrade via HiSuite.

UPDATE: Ok so I got home, downgraded back to 9.1 with hisuite. Went to unlock the bootloader again but it seems it was already unlocked??
I then upgraded to 10 again via OTA update as I did previously, but this time I noticed it had automatically LOCKED the bootloader.

I could be wrong, but I swear the first time I upgraded to 10, my bootloader was still unlocked, I remember going into fastboot and seeing both RED (meaning UNLOCKED) and then flashing twrp. I'm really annoyed I rushed into it and messed up with that factory reset.

So there is currently no possible way to root EMUI 10?
