No, Huawei did something to the database they all relied on. Just gonna have to wait and hope that they can sort it out. Huawei should change back their policy to provide codes for free again.

That's why I hate buying Huawei Phones, in android Os I think they the only OEM that doesn't allow bootloader unlock.

I did not have root even after replacing patched Magisk image with 9.1.
until I restarted from shutdown and kept holding down power and up vol until it cycled again (basically it booted then immediately rebooted again), then the simple prompt for device booting and let go of vol up and it booted root correctly.

I've lost root..

I did not have root even after replacing patched Magisk image with 9.1.

I'm on the EVR L29.

I had previously used this guide to Root my phone.

I reflashed the stock recovery so that I could take the OTA Update (9.0.0.192 (C636E3R1P11) and that went fine.

I followed the guide again to reflash the Rooted RamdiskL29 and when I do Power + Volume^, the screen just hangs on the shimmery Huawei logo. I've let it sit for 2 and 3 hours and it never booted into root.

If I power off and let it boot up normally, it does so, but without Root.

What do I need to do>

I had this happen to me.. fixed it by flashing ramdisk with latest magisk patch, V19. Also don't let go of that UP VOL button until you actually booted.

My first encounter with Huawei is a Mate 10 phone, and I found it to be very powerful, and the price: very competitive! I can buy a top of the line Huawei phone for the same price as a Samsung midrange phone, and don't even mention iPhone. I was able to root the phone as I got is around April 2018, before the closing of the BL unlock service. And since my main reason to root my phone is to get rid of annoying ads, I wanted to go back to Samsung. Custom ROM is another reason.

Now that I have found how to block ads even with non-root phones, I am 'freed' from Huawei's non-rootability problem. I am running DNS66, and AdClear. I am also running Youtube Vanced and MiXplorer, apps that are basically ad-less. And yes, I have given away my Mate 10, and I now have Mate 20 X. Indeed!

So yeah, I'll be buying Huawei phones and enjoying their super performance and capabilities!

Agree with all except for the price related.
Huawei flagships are at the same price than Samsung now, in Europe the P30 pro have the same price tag of the S10+.
Huawei phones are expensive.

I used the file under this post to successfully obtain emui9.1 root authority according to this tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-20-x/development/rom-mate-20-x-global00ized-beta-t3892304 , https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603907556, enter the EREC after completion, select the shutdown button, wait for the device to completely shut down, then press and hold the volume up button until you enter the system, sorry, my English is not good, Use Google Translate, I don't know if you can understand it.
