Hello

My device's bootloader is locked, I can't boot into recovery (phone just flashes the oneplus logo then reboots over and over) and when I try to unlock the bootloader via fastboot or ADB it says FAILED (remote: oem unlock is not allowed) Actually when I try to do much of anything it tells something along those lines. When I have it connected to my computer the phone is recognized as either android adb or Marshall London Device - Marshall London Bootloader Interface. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get my computer to recognize my phone as Qualcomm. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Super bummed here.

Before you can unlock the bootloader you need to enable OEM unlocking in Settings > Developer options. Did you do that first?

See if following these instructions on the OnePlus website helps.

http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3/oneplus_3_oxygenos_3.1.2

Sorry, but I can't access recovery. I have rooted many phones before including this one. I was returning to stock when the phone froze rebooted and has this issue now. I can't get into recovery of any kind. Neither TWRP (which is what I had before) or stock. I am also unable to boot the phone. All I can do is access fastboot. When I try to sideload I am unable to. The computer detects my phone as an android phone but when I try to load anything it tells me FAILED oem locked.

So you can't even boot into the bootloader to reflash recovery?

Power off phone by pressing power button for atleast 40 sec. Then press only volume up button for 10 sec and after 10 sec, while keeping volume up pressed, connect phone to PC and keep volume up pressed till a new device shows on pc (there won't be anything on phone though)
Then follow the guide.

Hey Bud, not sure why but something about the way you explained what I'd be looking at on the phone allowed me to fix the problem. I appreciate your help, heh, I appreciate EVERYONE who helped me. Thank you all so much. It's nice to see humans still helping one another. You guys rock, this community rocks! Again, THANKS!

Hey,
My OP3 was bricked and I successfully ran these steps. First I did method 1, which succeeded, but when booting the phone it told me about md5 mismatches in some partitions (boot, cache, system). So I ran method 2, which was also successful, but now when I try to boot my device it goes to oneplus logo and then to black screen with notification LED shining white. The same thing happens when trying to get into recovery. Can you help me? Thanks so much

1. You don't need to check the MD5. It is because I didn't edit rawprogram.
2. Umm. Frankly, I haven't seen that yet. It might be a pressed button.

1. I did not check the md5. The phone did this automatically and then refused to boot, i.e. shut down.
2. I have contacted OnePlus Support and created a support ticket. However, I would like to try Method 2 one more time in case this fixes it. Am I correct in assuming that the device does not need to be displayed in device manager as "Qualcomm 9008"? For me it shows "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" and flashing works with the tool provided.

Thank you for your time!

It is 3.1.2 and not fastboot package but Qualcomm package. Though, we can get fastboot images from it.
Yea I mean indirect fastboot. However I just flashed the full package from your android file host page. My phone wasn't bricked but I was successfully flashed it from the bootloader mode. I also use another QC820 device as Mi5 and apply the same concept of flash though the interface is different but at the end both works same way. Basically earlier I flashed couple of stock recovery found here and there in the web. For the peace of mind I flashed this full package. Now my OP3 is running on 3.1.2. But my expectation was it would be the same as when I received the phone 3.1.1. However, I am still not getting 3.2.0 after couple of check in System updates. I want to set my mind that I am on pure stock mode. Am I on pure stock already ? Because I am not getting 3.2.0 update?
