It should be working then. Try issuing

adb reboot

command - you need to be in the ROM anyway when rumrunner starts its magic.

I will keep trying then. If I see my device when I use the adb devices command I can assume the adb connection is working?

probably yes
use usb 2 ports

The bypass of s-on in 4ext recovery failed me a couple of times when I tried flashing a kernel but I did restore the boot.img via adb.

Otherwise, not much. I did s-off just for the fun of it.

my hboot is ulocked and it 1.27 and its rooted i used vroot to root it. the error is deamon server is out of date n its sayin another about deamon runnin error r sumn like dat dont remember exactly

if you want to S-OFF with this guide just flash viperS 5.2.1 rom or revelation rom
then use the rumrunner method to S-OFF

no it doesn't factory reset the phone
some users succeded with stock rom
check first post what to do while on stock rom

hi sorry i should have come back and said, it sat like that for ages (and i mean like an hour) and eventually it failed. however it seems ta have work as next i was in the bootloader it said s-off. so i think its all working as it should now. am flashing a rom and rebooting just now.
