I've Launchpad running now on this AU-3.1 and had 1.4.4 running on US-3.1 w/ 3G-Euro-Mod before without any issues (except the well known & non-kernel-related like 3G-icon etc.). So make a Nandroid-backup and just try it. I wouldn't expect any problems with that.

@Lowtraxx
It seems I spoke too early about the 3G-connectivity and battery of the AU-version - today I got it out of the bag with 98% battery after 4.5hrs (which is ok, system seems to have settled during the last night), but the 3G didn't connect. This time I was able to get the connection back by toggling the flight-mode twice.

No more reboot or settings-changes necessary. ;)

Have you seen that 3.2 update is out now. Time to go back to us 3.1 then get the 3.2 update followed by pushing settings files back. Seems 3.2 improves the whole ui quite a bit. Not to mention new zooming feature included.

I made a little mistake, 've flashed Tiamat 1.1 but also I deleted the backup files for EU 3G to have telephony and 3G working.

how to restore? should I have to reinstall 3.0 EU, than update to 3.1 EU and unlock?

ps. 3.2 update is only for US version or for EU too?

3.2 is only for US WiFi Version. If you take the plunge and also have to wipe, you could flash the AU images and have 3.1 EU/AU with working Signal Strength display. If you dont want to do that, maybe one of the users here can send you his backups.

probably is better to roll back to 3.1 EU/AU, but may I ask you how to reinstall it? (will I have to follow this tut http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1160403 ? )

ps. has 3.1 EU/AU got Movie & Books apps?
Yes you can follow these instructions, but read all Updates first, because some things have changed and you do not need the settings.db telephony.db and build.prop anymore.
I copied the Books app from the US 3.1 image and it worked flawlessly.

Problems,Problems, oooo Hang on... ?

hey all

Here is a very awkward one for you.

Installed BRD tiamat xoom rom 2.0 with everything but im having an issue.
I followed everything that needed to be done...

Problem is No APN's, No Connectivity (Wifi of course is working), Everytime i try to work around this i have no luck,

Following the guide from the front, i pushed all 5 files that i managed to collect from my backup. (Originally HC 3.0.1, like may of the guys, im on Talkmobile, but use a H3G Sim Card, as i pay for my lappie and internet separately)

Im trying to figure out why this is not working even though HERE says if i follow this guide the HC 3.2 should work... mind you ive tried a lot today and i have a feeling that it wont get any better)

I hope at least maybe someone might beable to give me some idea :)

might seem a bit stupid but...

i couldnt work out how to save it while putting it in and even tried to contact H3G about it for the settings, i know what they are and where they go but there isnt any physical option to save it :(

3G funktioniert nicht - Sorry for the German language

Hallo Alle zusammen,

I finally got it to work :D

This is how I did it...

1. Make sure your Xoom is rooted and has CWM installed
1.1 Pull system files from your working 3.0.1 install:

4. Make sure you have clockworkmod/backup/2011-07-09.22.22.22 on your SD. If not, create it.
5. Copy the files submitted by lowtraxx (system-, data- and boot.img) to the above mentioned folder.
Please help

sorry im lost here, this is the instruction to get rooted 3.0.1 to 3.1 right? so heres my question :

1. how to make SD readable by CWM ? as i got international 3G xoom on 3.0.1 . and CWM doesnt read my SD (external memory).

im using CWM 4.0.0.4 on MZ601 running HC 3.0.1

Thanks in advance.

You need to be using v3.2.0.0. V4 does not read the sdcard on a xoom. You can find v3.2 somewhere in this forum section. Just search for it.
