He told me that his phone shows up at the list of the Tool like the guide says.. So I don't think so that is needed to disable that..

I will ask him again with what Windows did the operation and i will come back again.

Anyone else tried this guide?

Because i don't have any facts by myself now.. And this guide used by another user I can't say anymore until I will need to recover my phone and really see if works.

Maybe something missing at the steps or maybe my member did something wrong.

Thanks again for your help aryan804..

Yes I tried to another device and it works. The problem is the USB V3. If you plug the phone at USB 3 port it doesn't work. With USB 2 everything is fine.

Edit :
USB 3 with Windows 10. Maybe with another Windows USB 3 will play I don't know that.

Dear OnePlus lovers,

You are doing this on your own responsibility. I do not take any credit for bricked devices because of this method!

Today is the day that the official OnePlus 2 Qualcomm restore zip has been "unpacked"! So i proudly present the 100% original OxygenOS recovery files.

These files can be used for recovering a soft bricked OnePlus 2 device. Even if the partitions are messed up. This should get a lot of work off the shoulders of OnePlus. And you don't have to wait for the support team to fix your OnePlus. It can also help fixing Home Button issues.

Download all necessary files here:
Full wipe including internal SD: Google Drive, AndroidFileHost, MediaFire
Full wipe excluding internal SD: **Not Yet**

Step by step instructions(THIS WILL WIPE YOUR ONEPLUS INCLUDING INTERNAL SD):

1. Open the "OnePlus 2 Qualcomm Recovery Package.rar" and extract it to desktop.(You will need WinRAR to extract this!)
2. You will find 2 folders. "OP2_O2_MP8" and "qc"
3. First, we are going to install the Qualcomm drivers. Open the folder "qc" and run the setup wizard
4. When completed. Restart your PC.
5. Turn off your phone and disconnect the USB cable from the phone.
6. Hold vol-up and plug in the USB(NO power button needed!). The screen will stay black but you will hear a sound from windows that a device is attached.
7. The driver should now automatically install. If not, go to device manager and right click "Unknown Device" and click "Update Driver" Search up the QC folder and press ok. The driver should now install.
8. Now you are ready for the restore progress. Open the OP2_O2_MP8 folder and open "MSM8994DownloadTool.exe"
9. Look if your phone is detected in the list. everything is chinese but you will see one different rule in the list. If not, check connection with PC.
10. First click the right square chinese button. This will verify if all downloaded files are succesfully downloaded and that the MD5 is correct.
11. When everything is ok. Press the start button. and let the progress finish.
12. When it's done. Disconnect the USB cable and turn on the device.

Congratulations! You now succesfully recovered your OnePlus!

If OnePlus does not want these files to be shared for public, drop me a PM. i will remove them as soon as i read it!
i started installing MSM8994DownloadTool.exe, but it was unsuccessful, the phone wnt again into bootloop, please help

Just put my phone in Qualcomm mode and still shows 9008. I have no idea what you did there since i am also running Oxygen 2.2.0.

The recover should work as many times as you want it to work.

Thanks for the info and Last question...

Do you know if OnePlus creates updates to their op2_02_mp8 files with new release of OS?
I've not seen or head of one for 2.1.2 or 2.2.0

They're not really necessary anyway as you can use the full or ota rom zips once you've recovered your device to 2.1.1

Thanks for the information. I am actually quite annoyed with a particular bug with OnePlus 2's Bluetooth Audio using Audio Tuner. Hence looking around for a fix that doesn't exist and since then been flashing various images to see if it helps.

Hello. I'm stuck at "7. The driver should now automatically install. If not, go to device manager and right click "Unknown Device" and click "Update Driver" Search up the QC folder and press ok. The driver should now install." It said "the best driver is already installed" but I still can't find my phone in "MSM8994DownloadTool.exe". I would like to try again. How do I uninstall the QC driver?

Hello. I have been following your guide up to step 6. If my phone says RELINK instead of qualcom does it matter?

When I used the tool this comes out

Is it supposed to be like this? If so does this mean my phone is not there? Or am I missing some fonts on my laptop that needs to be installed.

Anyway I still tried to click the right square button and everything says OK. So I click start and nothing seems to be happening other than the fact the start button is grayed out.

All help appreciated

Right click the device and click "update driver". From there select the qualcomm driver. The phonetool should have one lane show something different. If it does, start will also be clickable
