What I've said all along, people that can't bother reading the directions before flashing anything, shouldn't even be trying to flash. It's a disaster waiting to happen.

That sounds correct. So if I want to flash the new xt1541 mm fw I have to:
Factory reset
boot and enable oem unlock
boot bootloader and flash everything with fastboot
Do I forget something? In case of a downgrade repeat every step but do not flash lollipop bootloader...right?
Yes.I think you don't need to unlock bootloader unless you want to install a custom recovery, am I right?
I did that all yesterday (with a locked bootloader), and then when I booted up, it went straight to recovery, so I factory reset from recovery and then it booted. But that might have been because before flashing the firmware, I had bricked my phone trying to flash the USA firmware for marshmallow before Europe was released. So if I want to flash the new xt1541 mm fw I have to:
Factory reset
boot and enable oem unlock
boot bootloader and flash everything with fastboot

So Linux didn't work either. I have tried images for Canada, LA, everything that is available and still no luck. Closest one is the US one but as I mentione before, even though all the commands run succesfully I am still stuck on bootloop. @lost101 you don't have any other suggestion, do you?@lost101 to flash with RSD I did use antoher computer...so would only have pending to test with Linux...don't know why I am not too optimistic though...![]()
Perform a factory reset in Stock Recovery:So Linux didn't work either. I have tried images for Canada, LA, everything that is available and still no luck. No. Simply perform a 'Factory data reset' in Android and flash the 6.0 Firmware Image as instructed.Hello, I just need a little guidance.
I'm on stock 5.1.1. With unlocked bootloader and custom recovery (TWRP - when asked to modify system or keep read only so I can recieve OTAs, I chose modify).
So if I want to flash 6.0 factory image I have to:
- wipe user data
- flash the 5.1.1. factory firmware again (so I get stock recovery and all)
- flash 6.0 factory firmware (using the fastboot commands provided in the guide)
Is this correct?
Perform a factory reset in Stock Recovery:
Mine did same, just would not perform a factory reset so just went through fastboot flash process of 6.0 again and it seems to have worked. Mine was running real slow and not right. You can't go back to 5.1.1 either as it fails to flash boot etc.@lost101 thanks, but I can't access the Recovery Mode. When I click on it I get another bootloop...don't get to the ''No Command'' screen. Used to when I started trying to fix the phone..but seems it got broken somewhere along the road....

Have you tried to do a reset?I would love to know if it can be returned to 5.1.1 as MM is terrible on mine. Play store is not working as it should and keeps hanging on installing. It will not install facebook at all or facebook groups. If you try and close play store when you go back into it just get a white screen.
Done a factory restet yeah. Though that hangs also and phone freezes then eventually does it. Cant install 5.1.1 and even though I installed EU retail 6.0 it still says its EU tescogb on the phone so not sure why. Tried installing it again but still the same. Any facebook app makes play store hang and phone goes sluggish and have to force a restart. Just hope someone figures a way to go back to 5.1.1 as its made my phone useless and battery runs down very quick.Have you tried to do a reset?
Thanks for the feedback.
Actually with the recovery.img from 5.1.1, when i go to Recovery Mode, I get the ''No Command'' Screen, flashing for a nanosecond, and if I click power+volume up i get the following error:
E:Can't mount cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open cache/recovery/last_log

@lost101 Any thoughts?
Such issues indicate you have not flashed the MM Firmware image correctly. Did factory data reset in stock recovery first before following fastboot flash procedure. Did my lads Vodafone UK branded phone to 5.1.1 EU Retail 3 days ago and its perfect.fastboot boot recovery.img
