Hey I flashed the latest version (6.0.1) for XT 1541, 1GB version, but unfortunately wifi is not working anymore :(
Please follow the flashing instructions in first post, including 'Factory data reset' in Stock Recovery before flashing the firmware image.

I have done that before flashing the image. I did a Factory Reset in Stock Recovery after flashing the image and now it's working... Now I'm struggling to get SuperSU on there....

Factory data reset via Stock Recovery:
(1) Flash via fastboot stock recovery.img (found in firmware image zip)
(2) Turn your phone off.
(3) Press and hold Volume DOWN + POWER.
(4) In recovery menu press Volume down twice.
(5) Press power. You will see a red exclamation mark.
(6) Press power + Volume UP.
(7) Go to Wipe data / Factory reset and press power button.
(8) Scroll to Yes - delete all user data and press power.
EDIT: Solved.

Do you have the European phone? If yes try to reflash the image.

Dont restore data via backups in a new firmware. Try to flash the 2gb edition. They are exactly the same. And you have ok google on any screen too!

I want to go back to stockrom, phone currently runs on cm13. However I did not quiet understand the first step 'flash via fastboot stock recovery.img'. What is this step for? And what does the "factory data reset via stock recovery" actually do? I have seen two tutorials on YouTube about turning back to stock firmware, but neither ones included this first step. Thanks!

It deletes all user data... it is an essential part of the process. DO NOT SKIP this step, regardless of what other tutorials say, unless you want the potential of a bricked phone.

Thank you!

Last question: I also have the XT1541 model, is it recommended to update to the latest version or better to the 6.0 version?

Xt1541 1gb EU and trying to flash 6.0.1 following EVERY step to the letter but one issue. Bootloader will not flash. Do I have to relock the bootloader to upgrade it from 6.0 to 6.0.1? I have tried all fastboot toolkits and separate command line fastboot flash but no luck. Says Baseband unknown in bootloader mode.

I have a question. When installing the ROM factory, is my information that had as internal SD is lost? I have currently installed CM13, but the device has entered bootlop and TWRP not load, it stays like that stuck.

Connect phone to pc while in bootloader mode.In pc go into the extracted folder where firmware files are present.Open a command prompt from there check if pc is properly communicating with phone by-

fastboot devices

Then type this command to flash stock recovery-
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

This is the first step.[emoji4]

Also if you never flashed a custom recovery(say cm recovery or twrp),you may be already running stock one.Just check once.
