Factory data reset via Stock Recovery:
(1) Flash via fastboot stock recovery.img (found in firmware image zip)
(2) Turn your phone off.
(3) Press and hold Volume DOWN + POWER.
(4) In recovery menu press Volume down twice.
(5) Press power. You will see a red exclamation mark.
(6) Press power + Volume UP.
(7) Go to Wipe data / Factory reset and press power button.
(8) Scroll to Yes - delete all user data and press power.
I have flashed an optimized rom STOCK_6.0.1_optimized_MOTOG3_Ver1.0.zip in my moto g3 (indian version 2 GB/16Gb). I had to do this to boot my phone which goes to bootloop because of incompatible superSu.zip i used to rootAny way i have installed TWRP and installed the above file from TWRP menu install. Since this is not supporting VOLTE, i am planned to flash
XT1550_OSPREY_RETASIA_DS_2GB_6.0.1_MPI24.107-55_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip file i got from this forum.
Initially i thought that, i can install this file from Install Menu of TWRP. But sadly heard that i have to use a pc.
I am a newbie and i could not found the commands/forum to flash the stock recovery. Please check the following command in cmd will works(cmd is opened in the folder where the ADB+fastboot tools installed)
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash recovery <<name of stock recovery>>
fastboot reboot
Please confirm and suggest if any changes needs to be done.
ps: Can you share your contact no/email:rolleyes:

The commands are correct.
But instead of doing 'fastboot reboot', you can directly go to the newly flashed stock recovery directly from fastboot mode on the phone.

Thanks bro..
I will do the following steps
After flashing stock, type exit,dn unplug USB and press power+ volume + button to go to fastboot mode, will select recovery mode, and then power+volume button and release volume button to see the recovery menu..From there I can do factory reset..
Is that fine?

PS: My aim is to flash stock ROM with VOLTE support.

Yup. You can even leave the usb cable connected.

Don't wipe Cache and Dalvick Cache Before, but after!
Cache wipes are not necessary for rooting... before or after.

The problem is not for this thread, it is not about rooting or anything else except stock firmware. Rooting this device is discussed in several threads and there are known working methods for all available stock versions. A little reading will go along way.

Back to stock

I was running CM13 and I wanted to go back to stock so I restored a backup of it, but it included TWRP and not stock recovery. So I flashed stock recovery via fastboot.

Is that enough to accept the OTA updates now? Or should I flash the whole official image from fastboot?

Thanks in advance!

No. Bootloader is still unlocked. It is advisable not to accept OTA but flash the firmware images once you unlock the bootloader. There is a big possibility of bricking your phone if you accept OTA.
