Wondering if someone can help me. I'm pretty sure I followed all the steps correctly to flash the latest firmware for my XT1541 2Gb, but now I'm getting a Bootloader Unlocked screen when I reboot the phone. Everything else seems fine. Did I miss a step, or how can I get rid of this screen? Is it as simple as "Fastboot flash logo logo.bin", and then "Fastboot Reboot"? Thanks for any help
just flash the logo.bin file from here[URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/themes-apps/remove-unlocke-bootloader-message-t3177801[/URL] with the command ' fastboot flash logo logo.bin '

Ok,

Downgrading may result in constant nagging notifications to update android..

I received this:
Your device's software is up to date.
Where is the update? :)

Motorola update services app - It seems that only root can remove or disable it?

Motorola service sensors - nagging notifications to restore the previous version or something like that.
What is wrong with it?

Regards

Can confirm that the gpt.bin command fails with the pre-flash validation error. XT1550 - Factory-reset - Coming from CypherOS 7.1.1 - Bootloader unlocked
Did somebody find a solution for that error? TIA

Factory data reset via Stock Recovery:
(1) Flash via fastboot stock recovery.img (found in firmware image zip)
(2) Turn your phone off.
(3) Press and hold Volume DOWN + POWER.
(4) In recovery menu press Volume down twice.
(5) Press power. You will see a red exclamation mark.
(6) Press power + Volume UP.
(7) Go to Wipe data / Factory reset and press power button.
(8) Scroll to Yes - delete all user data and press power.
Hi,
I am a bit struggeling here.
I boot into bootloader, flashed recovery.img, turned off the phone and started bootloder again.
In bootloader I go to "recovery mode", press power and phone boots to recovery.
I see the dead Android mascot with the red exclamation mark. Beneath written "no command".
But now I can't do anything. Step 6 does not work for me. If I press power + VolUP nothing happens and if I press the buttons longer the phone just reboots.

Did you use this command?

Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Hold Power then tap Vol Up... Pressing both simultaneously isn't really the right process although most people figure it out.

What help? Your installed sensor firmware is too new, you need to revert to Lollipop firmware by removing what's installed already... Just uninstall it.

Remember, downgrading is NOT supported... Proceed at your own risk.

Its working great now compare to marshmallow one with very strong support from Lenovo ? except beautiful touchscreen firmware..? I hope You know what I meant.

I think..We should have the free choice and be able to flash whatever we want if something doesnt work properly.?

Sorry, no idea what your trying to say, but if you're happy that's all that matters.

I had the same issue as Komapatient, and I didn't figure it out either. (I know, I'm An Idiot.) When noobs like me come here for instructions, we follow them to the letter. In this case, doing so results in the phone rebooting. I appreciate the clarification, though. I was really losing my marbles over here!

Not everybody is An Idiot, but I see at least one other user was similarly confused by #6. If you could change it to something like "(6) Hold power down, then tap Volume UP.", it might save us Luddites some grief.

To be clear, the overall instructions both above and in the first post were excellent, and I'm grateful. I buggered my phone up when it offered me CM13 via update around Christmastime, and I foolishly let it go ahead. After a fresh reinstall through recovery, I couldn't get GApps (which I also reinstalled) to work worth a damn.

I'm hoping to not use the OEM firmware for long, but in my thread-searching, I saw someone state that these phones can't be subsidy-unlocked unless they're on the stock FW, so I'll probably go ahead and do that before anything else. OTOH, I also saw someone say that flashing OEM FW would re-lock the bootloader; that apparently didn't happen for me, as I got the (gasp!) Moto unlocked bootloader warning screen upon my first reboot after flashing.

Anyway, thanks again. :good:
