One plus tries to be developer friendly and they release (some) sources to developers to build custom roms and such...
1) Why won't they help us in unlocking the bands for the different One plus 3 versions? Or at least not block the rmt patches?
2) Can you please explain what does the rmt patch does?

1. Because it is criminal behavior.
The royalty is different for supporting 4 LTE bands and 5 LTE bands.
A smartphone support more LTE bands means more license fee.
If OnePlus only pay license fee of 4 LTE bands to Qualcomm, it can't help us unlock 5 LTE bands.
2. The stock rmt_storage will restore NV Item settings, the patched rmt_storage will prevent system restore the NV Item settings.

Yes, you can.
However you will lose unlocked bands and LTE CA.

Hi I am able to get 4g+ on my oneplus 3t CN version by flashing Eu qcn file but when I check with NSG even when I was on 4g+ it only show LTE logging not LTE 2xCA so I'm not sure whether I have successfully let my phone to Carrier aggregate between band 3 and band 7.

What was your instructions for getting 4G+??( Step by step)

I just follow the video posted by snowwolf725 and his blog but it's in chinese so you might have to translate to see what he wrote. But the video also quite clear on how to get 4g+.
I used Eu qcn and fbrx_eu qcn file to get it. The file already provided in his youtube video description there. Cause I only need band 3, 7 and probably 8 in my country but oneplus3t A3010 doesn't carrier aggregate band 3 + band 7 so I don't need to unlock new band on my phone.

Same here after I saw snowwolf725's picture that able to carrier aggregate on band 3+8 and I can't wait to try 4g+ so I decided to downgrade to 4.0.3 :laugh:

Last weekend, I received 1+3T EU QCN file from @lop2lop and @tom1807
I compared it with my 1+3T CN QCN file.
Attached is the compare result.
Maybe this will help us to understand the different between A3010 and A3003.

I have also attached my 1+3T CN QCN file.
I take out personal information (imei, mac address, bluetooth address, esn etc) from it.

Have you tried flashing 3t eu version qcn? I wonder if there is any improvement on cn version since both are oneplus 3t rather than using 3 qcn flash on 3t.

Besides, lop2lop pm me that his phone got Locked on 4G and no call after flashing 1+3T EU qcn, so maybe I got something wrong.
I think it's a problem although he got his phone worked again after restoring modem backup.

However, I can't feel any difference between EUNOIMEINEW.qcn and OP3T_EU.qcn, and everything works fine for me.

If you want to test OOS 4.1.x patch on your device, you can pm me.

For version lower than OxygenOS 4.0.3, you should apply rmt_storage patch from @baskaflyfer
For version new than OxygenOS 4.1.0, you should apply rmt_storage patch from me
(I think maybe we can make an universal patch for all version lower than OxygenOS 4.1.3)
If you use wrong version patch, you maybe get empty IMEI.
But don't worry about it, you can fix it via re-flashing correct patch or restoring system backup.

I think you PM'ed me that you removed IMEI, ESN, BT address etc., so no problem to release it.
In fact, I only extracted the file from my mobile to have it for the community, I am fine with the bands I have currently, because no plan visiting China or the US.

Today I tested new qcn , the result was not good ! I forced to restore backups !

BUT !

Finally I got 4G+ ! it was unstable but result was fine !
I used your rmt storage and OP qcn (4.0) files !
flashed rmt-storage, turned on Airplane Mode, restored EUNOIMEINEW.qcn and then restored fbrx_eu.qcn using QPST Software download, changed NV Id #1878 from 226 to 237 and the write using QXDM and reboot.

result was unstable as before (switching between H+ and 4G+ and no 4G) but finally I got truly working 4G+ ! I solved No 4G with a temporary solution using network Signal Guru ! it's a little bit annoying but fine !

If you wanna get 4G instead of 4G+ : Go to Network Signal Guru > Menu > Band Locking > LTE > uncheck all bands except one which working fine in your area ! And to get 4G+ back, just check 2 bands which you need and OK.

*** If anyone wants to test it, I'm not responsible for any damage ! do not forget to make backup of QCN , modemst1.bin , modemst2.bin and EFS whatever xD
