I have this error now ......

Please help me resolve it.....
When in soft brick you need to wait to connect the phone to pc. With phone not connected start flashtool, select flash in flashmode, select the firmware, wait for prompt to connect in flashmode, now with phone off and still unconnected hold volume down button and now connect using usb cord still holding button until green led is lit. Hopefully then it will start to flash. Good luck !

Antonio, what happens when you press and hold both the power and volume up buttons for about 5 seconds? Do you get. 1 vibration?

Hi

When i press hold+power buttons we have just one vibration....
You can also try older version of flash tool. have you ever been able to do a flash of ion? If no Possible no drivers installed

New test for flash mode.
Using only a Power charger, no pc, with phone off, no bootloop, hold the volume down button while connecting charger. This should give a green led before 5 seconds. That is flash mode. I just tested this process 2 times with success using my car charger. If you do not get green led then I do not know what to do. If you do, then the trouble is at pc or flashtool.

My two cents, always intall CWM - Backup your ROM, before doing any modding to your phone.

When something wrong (like bootloop) - soft reset by holding power+vol.up for 3 seconds (1 vibration). Phone will be off.

If in the bootloop you do a hard reset - holding power+vol.up for more than 5 secs (3 vibrations). It will kill your your phone for sure - same as soft brick.

OK, I holding volume (+) and power the device vibrated 3 times and hung up I have no one wants red light now.

I tried to connect the computer with vol (-) unsuccessfully not recognize my device in flash mode.

question:

What should I do now?

Thank you.

Had my phone plugged in for over 48 hours and still no green light. This is the fourth charging session ive put it through and it always ends up with no green light but with the light shut off entirely. Each time ive tried flashmode with no luck, the only thing i get when plugging in the power cord is the Red LED coming back on, ive tried doing another reset at the bootloop as well and it just ends with some more failed charging... :(

Another thing i noticed is when my phone does start to boot loop again... it is not the same as the guy who posted the videos. Instead of reaching the sony logo and shutting down quickly mine fades much more slowly. The logo fades out slowly and has a bit of a yellow tint to it as it fades, very strange. Any one else's device do this?

Something else ive found out is if i do a soft reset (1 vibration) while boot looping the phone shuts down but imeadiatley bootloops again so it has basically no effect. I have to hold it and wait for the three vibrations for any effect.

Interesting - For the soft reset (1 vibration), my device do shutoff. In anyway, in between shutdown and re-bootloop - You can set your Flashtool ready to flash and put the phone in flash mode right after it shut off. In that way you will not have a soft brick device then wait along time to revise it.

That will be a challenge because the time between shut off and re-bootloop is very very quick, like maybe only a second or two.

Haha - you're funny. I said get the flashtool ready first - only when it asks for the phone in flash mode, then soft reset the phone - hold vol.down plug in right away. Should work.

Of course i have the flashtool ready haha... its still quite a challenge to do the reset, grab the USB cord, plug it in and hold down the volume button all in under a second haha. Plus i only get a couple of tries before it stops bootlooping and shuts down completely and back on the charger it goes.

EDIT: Success! i got flashmode after about fifty tries and a lot of frustration, but flashtool resulted in an error! :(

EDIT: By they way i appreciate all your replies accts, you have been thanked haha :)

To all members that have had success recovering from soft-brick, please review the OP.
As popfan has changed phones and is not monitoring this thread as often, I asked the mods to transfer OP to me and I have written a how-to about fixing soft-brick. All input is welcome. If you think I should add or change anything please PM me.
Thanks all,

Ive gotten in to flashmode three times now and all have resulted in an error at exactlly the same point... about 70% along in the process. I have tried flashing stock AT and I firmwares. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

You can see a screen shot i posted of where the error is a couple posts back.
