since sprint doesnt want to give users a public stock restore file like 99% of the other carriers in the world... they should swap your phone out for free. blame it on failed ota.

not sure if there are any sprint stores left with service/repair centers in them... they used to be able to flash the stock TOT right on the spot. A ZV5 TOT flash would fix these issues.

My store doesn't have the TOT file stating my device is "to new". Told me to call LG. Laughable.

So now we wait for the stock TOT file?

I took my bricked G4 to a service center several days ago and got a brand new one by blaming it on the OTA. They said it was 'done'. I'm almost convinced they didn't have the TOT.

Soft bricked my device. Was trying to edit build.prop. For some reason my computer became unauthorized for adb. When I try to push files, it just gets stuck and goes nowhere. I guess I have to wait, until then I'm back on my Nexus 5.

Just called LG to have it sent in for repair, anything I should do before I send it in? Already did a factory reset through the stock recovery.

I'm in the same situation and with Bell - what exactly did you tell them? OTA fail? or did you tell them something else?

Thanks!
I hard bricked it to the point of it not even turning on into download mode even. I flashed a different system image from the unlocked international because my phone was already borked from trying to flash twrp on my rooted bell phone through flashify ( do not ever try this ) it made my phone able to get into download mode but our varient dosent have a KZD file to return to stock so i was left with a paperweight until one became available. I took matters in my own hands and did what i said which was flashing a different firmware and that totally borked my g4 completely and fried the motherboard. So i went into bell and told them my phone just wouldnt turn on at all after charging it all night which obviously was a lie but i felt i had nothing to lose and everything to gain. They shipped it to LG and i totally thought they would see what i did and not honor my warranty. Little did i no they said they had to order another motherboard but ended up giving me a brand new phone not a refurb no questions asked. I got extremely lucky so i suggest to go for it you have nothing to lose.

Sent from my LG-H812 using XDA Premium HD app

I might as well mention my problem here too:

I was editing the build.prop to add dual window functionality to all of my apps as per this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4X2...dex=35&list=WL

And now my phone is stuck in a bootloop. I keep getting a message saying that Android is updating app X out of 38 and it goes back to the LG splash screen.

Sure enough there's a warning at beginning of that youtube video saying BE SURE THAT BUILD.PROP IS NOT TRUNCATED AND ITS PERMISSIONS ARE RIGHT BEFORE REBOOTING! - I'm assuming this is where I've gone wrong.

Now, while my phone is bootlooping adb shell and adb push do nothing. adb devices says my device is offline.

I can get into download mode and that's really about it - have I bricked the phone?

EDIT - I can also get to stock recovery but factory reset fails and i go back to the bootloop.
