My XT1033 Dual Sim Brazilian was in 4.4.4.
I updated to 5.0.2 via OTA official by the device itself.
But I found the slower Lollipop and would like to downgrade.
I never did bootloader unlock.
This method serves for the Moto G XT1033 Dual Sim Brazil Retail?

Yes,u can use this method to downgrade - just where i download the asia firmware,u have to download this brazilian firmware -BR | http://www.filefactory.com/file/7koj5z8zk1mf/XT1033_RETAIL-BR-DS_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.40_38_cid12_CFC_1FF_SVC.xml.zip
and follow the same steps in video.

It is recommended to unlock the bootloader first.

the command we used has two skipped commands, these code r published on many pages but they don't skip those files and phone gets bricked due to that,so its a warning that don't copy from there.

so if i use ur method and downgrade my system to kitkat from lollipop without using that two commands
then after downgrading can i flash kitkat again but this time using that bootloader and partition command ??
bcos now my system is running on kitkat........so will my phone brick
or will i have to use a diffrent method to downgrade the bootloader too.....

This method is tested by me yesterday and is 100% working. Only one problem -now when I have bootloader unlocked and kitkat 4.4.4 , every restart of phone I have thease stripes going from up to down on the screen and causing defect of the picture. If I turn off and on the display- everything is ok. Anyone knows something about this bug? Thanks . Sory for my English

Restore Kitkat from lollipop for Moto g 1st Gen

I have few doubts after restoring to the Kitkat from lollipop,
1. what happens to the data. Means the data will be lost or the will be there in the mobile ? Data like photos, contacts, messages, apps, music etc
2. After downgrading, in future shall i get the updates or not?
3. If some features in lollipop are improved, then can i able to update my mobile to the latest version of android(like lollipop etc.)
4. what happens to the warranty that is given by motorola?

Please let me know about these and it is more helpful to me.
Thanks.

1. All data is lost. Make a backup.
4. This method requires an unlocked boot-loader, which voids your warranty.
I'm not sure about the rest of the questions.(I believe you should be able to get updates/upgrade to the latest version of android)

I tried to downgrade from 5.0.2 but I gave also the two additional commands, therefore I bricked the device.

Tried to flash the 4.4.4 firmware and clearly it doesn't work.
Tried to flash again the 5.0.2 (BR version), but no luck. The phone remains in the unlocked bootloader screen.

I can throw away the phone? :crying:
