I use layer for the statusbar icon and androfy for notification pull

It didnt work for me I even tried to create a folder with the same name and put it inside, but to no avail. I even tried the flashable zip method.... Again nothing.

ok, I am obviously doing something wrong.
I put the 6tiles.apk into my root/system/vendor/overlay folder
gave it the permissions -rw-r--r-- (644),
rebooted my phone but nothing happened?
is this somehow related to the app layers manager? installed it alright,
installed the 6tiles.apk file which is still located in the overlay folder through the layers manager,
rebooted my phone... nothing happened

so please gentleman, could you explain to me what I am doing wrong?

Which rom are you using? Is it branded?
Try this location:

Awesome ! Thanks ! First, i just added the file in cust/vdf_com/overlay/app which did not work,
After putting it also into cust/open_com/_overlay/overlay_open_eu/app it finally worked flawless !
