Hello psouza4, I am receiving a IMS Service has stopped error message after I was rooted and flashed the S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_Debloater_V15.zip for (any Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge) from your GUIDE: ROOT, install XPOSED, and UNROOT/returning to stock a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge Thread. Do you know how to fix this error? any help would be appreciated thank you
The debloat script is outdated and likely would not work on whatever software build you were on. It only worked on early versions of marshmallow. You will probably have to flash back to the stock version of whatever build you were on and root again.

Hi everyone I'm new to this site and in need of some assistance.

I have the sm-g935p model and following this guide I got stuck in a boot loop after flashing Samsung_G935x_QC_Rooted_BOOT.TAR. I'm not sure what I did wrong but now when I try to flash stock SPT_G935PVPU2APE1.zip as instructed odin fails. Here is the log from odin: i.imgur DOT com/ArqDPur.png

Additionally on the phone it says SW REV CHECK FAIL : [system]Fused3 > Binary 1

I'm lost and really demotivated right now, if someone can shine some light in my direction I would very much appreciate it!

This eng kernel (and pretty much all files in the op) is for Marshmallow and if you were on Nougat, that's why you bootloop ed.

Go here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tm...eres-how-rooted-nougat-s7-edge-g935t-t3567502
and odin the eng boot img from that thread and it should boot. Then you can run the root.bat from that thread and continue the root process.

If flashing that eng kernel doesn't allow your phone to boot, you'll need to odin your full Nougat firmware (links can be found on that same thread).

Hello landshark68, I wished that I had Known that Before I flashed that file, LOL  . Flashing that zip almost made my Device unusable. I ended up having to do a total wipe and re rooted my device which is on Android (N). I am now looking for a wifi tether zip mod that can be flashed on a S7 EDGE running Android (N).

Bootloop

I follwed each step to a T, and my Verizon S7 Edge keeps getting stuck in bootloop. Is there any other step I may be missing? I was able to recover the device so that it is now operable.

Hi I just bought second hand verizon galaxy s7 flat SM-G930V , the sim has been unlocked so I can use any sim card on it, it runs android 6.0.1 , baseband version is G930VVRS4APH1, I want to root it, install xposed and debloat it, it I my questions are:
1-if I follow the method in the op, does it affect the baseband, I mean will my sim still be unlocked? or do I have to unlock it again?
2-if I upgrade to nougat does it also upgrade the baseband, and will it also relock the sim? if so can I unlock it?
thanks
3-which one should I flash the V version or U version,

Are you on Nougat or Marshmallow? This procedure is for MM only. There is another thread for Nougat.

ALL of these are for T-Mobile not ATT. I cant find the software for G935A
Actually the eng.img is for all the different carriers. I am on AT&T and have been using the procedure for over six months.

If you post a question on that thread I am sure someone will be able to point you to the AT&T stock images.

Read the first post and it says it is for AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and just about all of them

So, should I down load the G935T software then? Sorry for all the questions. This stuff is confusing me.

No you don't need to download the G935T firmware. I would find the latest G935A firmware as a backup. What you are on already will work just fine.

You are already on the latest version. You can find any previous versions as a backup. Return to stock and up date to the latest security patch each month like I do.
