It sounds like you didn't use the correct wipe option. Boot into twrp, select wipe, then hit the actual button that says "format", it'll require you to type in "yes" to continue. After that, reboot from twrp directly back into twrp, there's an option for that specifically in the menus. Then mount /vendor in twrp using the check box, and flash the encryption disabler. You should be good to go after that.I've been reading this guide for a while and the other one.
My phone is SKU XT1922-3, 32GB, channel reteu, 8.0.0, JETER_EMEADSDS_CUST, OPP27.91-87.
Bootloader is unlocked, flashed the twrp-xt1922-32gb.zip from spaceminer from post #360
Phone works fine, but twrp recovery will not boot.
Booting twrp with fastboot, I tried a wipe and format data, and flashed Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_05.21.2019.zip from the sd card, found here as recommended by spaceminer also on post #360.
After that, when the phone started, I got a screen "encrypting your phone" and the phone started as new, which I understand means nothing worked.
And twrp still does not boot. What next?
I'm afraid that although in the OP it states that "This has been confirmed to work on: XT1922-3 Model", which was one of the reasons I bought this phone, :crying:
the xt1922-3 is actually aljeter, same build number OPP27.91-87, plus when I type in fastboot: adb shell, it returns: aljeter:/ $. Let me guess .... there's no working twrp for my phone?? :crying:
Side note; Make sure you are flashing twrp to your recovery partition, and not just booting it with fastboot. Unzip the file and use the command;
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Then use the volume buttons while still in fastboot to change it to recovery, and hit the power button.
