Super Wipe Problem after Your Procedure

Hi There! I have a simple HTC Sensation with OTA Hboot: 1.27. I have carried out complete procedure as described by you for unlocking bootloader, rooting, flashing cwm and s-off as per the prescribed link.

Every thing just went fine and I successfully completed the procedure till changing of supercid.

The problem I am facing right now is that my sensation abort super wipe in the mid way rather on step first. I have even tried to full wipe my sensation with aroma as well. And my mobile is unable to flash ext4.

Kindly suggest me any way or any reason that why the behavior of my handheld is as such.

Thanking all in advance.

solved: stuck at boot screen

Hey, I managed to find a solution to my "stuck at boot screen" problem. My phone is still S-ON but unlocked through HTCdev.

I didn't finnish reading the earlier posts in this tread before I wiped my phone and tried to install CyanogenMod9.
For about 24 hours my phone showed me the boot screen of the blue/green man. I tried other roms with no success until I finally successfully tried the Elegancia Blitz rom. :victory:

While booting for the first time, first it showed the HTC screen in green on white background, then the Beats screen came up for about 5-10 minutes. Finally the phone booted nicely.

So now my phone is up and running again and I think I can go on with the S-OFF solution by Juopunutbear. I have not tried it though.
BTW, make sure to check the MD5, my first download was bad, and I guess that could also give me the stuck at boot screen issue.

Could someone with further knowledge explain why this works and other roms don't?

Cheers, Erland.

now with elegancia the wifi might be broke ..check it

also when you are SON and HTC-DEV unlocked ..you should do flashing a little bit different

if using 4EXT recovery ...follow this guide to the letter FLASHING ROMS WITH SON (and i recommend 4EXT for ppl with SON ..as it has nice built in feature for you ppl to make flashing EASY)

if using CWM ..you should do extra 1 step from the same guide ..to get a booting ROM

also why you need to flash differently is also explained there in the guide

WIFI is working, haven't seen any problems with hw yet.

And I used CWM according to the instruction in the beginning of this thread.

What is the extra step?

extra step is flashing the boot.img from the rom using fastboot

good thing seems like the elegancia rom supports the stock kernel ..that might be the reason you got everything working ..read the guide ive linked it explains the stuff

Good day my dear friends,

Boring Intro------
Yesterday I was trying to root my wife's HTC Sensation which I upgraded to Official Middle East ICS 4.0.3 hboot 1.27.000 and I found this way by pure luck-----

I installed CMW and did the rooting while the device is S-ON

I'm not sure if this is a new method or was done before but I thought I'd share it to return some of your favors in this great forum.

I need to thank Mr.hasoon2000 because we will use his tol from the HTC One X forum.

Requirements:
1. Download the HTC One X All-In-One Toolkit V1.0 from this link, Thanks Mr.hasoon2000 I hope you don't mind me using your tool here.
2. Download the latest CMW recovery , choose the latest for Pyramid (The Sensation) in *.img. Here is the CMW 5.8.0.9 link.
3. Download SuperSU 0.88.zip, thanks Mr.Chainfire or from this link [23.04.2012] SuperSU v0.88.

Step By Step Method:
1. Copy the SupperSU.zip file to your SD root.
2. Extract the HTC One X All-In-One Toolkit V1.0 to the Disktop.
3. Connect your Mobile and make sure you're in the charging mood and your check USB development or debugging option.
4. Run the One X.exe application.
5. Install the HTC drivers.
****If you unlocked your Sensation's bootloader from HTCdev.com then skip step 6 ****
6. Register in HTCdev.com website, choose Unlock Bootloader, choose your device and follow the instructions. ~This May Void your Warranty~
7. Rename the CWM recovery to CWM5827, then copy it to HTC One X All-In-One Toolkit folder/Data folder/recoveries and replace the one inside.
8. Flush the CWM recovery using the toolkit, horray you installed CWM.
9. From Commands choose Boot into recovery and from CWM flush the SuperSU.zip.
10. Congratulations, You're Now ROOTED ;).

Note: Sorry for My Bad English.

no need to do HTC-dev unlock then (you will lose data if you do HTC-DEV unlock ..as it factory resets the phone)

do SOFF via REVOLUTIONARY and then flash custom recovery and then flash the su zip ..
this below guide will help you

I am struggling to flash a recovery using the One X Kit. I put the disc image in the data/recovery folder, but it does not do a thing. It boots up into an endless loop saying HTC. Not a single sign of clockworkmod. I need help please?

go to bootloader manually ..and then connect the phone to pc

go to your adb/fastboot folder
copy the recovery.img (if its zip ..it will be inside) to the folder

then open a terminal there from the adb folder (if windows hold shift + right click -> open command window here)

then type this command

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

then you are done

I just did the root without the recovery using the files you posted on another topic, so can I still put new roms on my phone in the future, or can I only keep my current rom?

Are you getting zerg root fail error?
Then you need tacoroot.. To do soff
Kgs AIO tool has that inbuilt (sticky in Dev section) use that and do soff..

Then only you can flash recovery (Cwm recovery).. I mean after soff only the other steps will be success

Ok you used one click root tool in my soff guide? And got root?

Good then things are much easier.. If you want custom recovery.. Get 4EXT updater.apk. That is present in this site http://4ext.net/ (open it from browser of your phone).. Install the apk.. Open it and from there do a online install of recovery.. That will give you the recovery.. (when asked whether you are son during installation.. Say yes)

Then in future if you want to change rom.. You can boot into recovery and flash the rom you want
