How about flashing CustomRom? If I don't have CID 11111111, does it mean that I can't flush CustomRom on my phone yet, even it is rooted and have custom recovery?

nope no need to change cid ..but you need to flash 3.32/3.33 firmware for running custom ICS ROMS ..best guide on flashing 3.33 firmware and flashing custom rom is ..this thread (post #1 and post #2)

remember after flashing the firmware you cant boot to your Gingerbread rom as the firmware and rom are incompatible ..but you can still go to recovery and backup your current rom and flash the new rom ..just follow the above guide ..you'll come out fine

EDIT: I already change my CID to 11111111, before I asked about flashing, should it be a problem, and what are the disadvantage or advantage having CID 11111111.

I encountered this kind of issue, go to recovery and did a full wipe/factory reset just then my phone boot normally.

Does CM9 not work on the Sensation 4G? I just do delvik cache whip and a factory reset / cache whip each time. No rom works. I need help asap so I can get rid of my stock rom.

if you are HTC-DEV UNLOCKED ..then follow this guide to the letter for flashing cm9 ...you will come out fine

Just a weird question , have anybody found this thread, cause i have this problem now on my other device, i just want to ask if there is also a bad emmc chip for HTC Sensation XE and possibility of bricking?

cause i got my other device lamed now for this kind of reason, i got FAIL PU every time i flash the stock RUU, fail on flashing custom rom and have the following errors on my recovery;

E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't opent /cache/recovery/last_log

I can only enter on boot-loader and recovery on my other device. Sorry i hope that i am not out of topic or wrong thread, just looking for help and answer, thanks & regards. :fingers-crossed:

But there are different reasons for that to happen.. Mostly because of corrupted radio.. Flash.. Which won't allow you to flash anything else.. Search for "Flashing roms with SON" guide by asskickars in sensation general section.. And just follow that to the letter.. And install ViperS rom

Forget the root part... All custom roms comes pre rooted

i have a problem while trying to unlock the bootloader using htcdev. when i type fastboot oem get_identifier_token a waiting for device msg apears and it does nothing. I am using windows 8 (tryed both x86/ x64 ver) . It is a problem with the adb driver ? pls help

the phone when connected to pc properly from bootloader ..reads "fastboot USB" is it showing that ..when you typed the command ?

yes it is showing fastboot usb

then probably the drivers are not compatible ... also use only usb 2.0 port ..no usb hubs either ..if pc connect to back ports and type

fastboot devices ..it should show your device

if it does then the token command should work
if not working then probably you need to try on another PC which has W7
