@champ784 If you flash blu_spark, do you have to reinstall Magisk with the two-step process (patched boot image + direct install)? I know that some of these kernels are written to work with Magisk already installed, but I don't remember if this is one of them.

you didnt have any issue installing XXX? first time i tried to install it it bootlooped the phone for me ( this was months ago now)
any suggestions when installing?

Yes - but not TMO phones - that and other reasons is why I dumped mine. Global devices work fine on TMO LTE and 5g.

2 boot images (zipped with ZArchiver app), one is stock and the other patched with latest available Magisk.

As mentioned, booting the unzipped Magisk patched boot image requires an unlocked bootloader.

That one is very old, you would want to use a current one that matches current update version and the version of Magisk you're using, etc. It is often easiest to patch a copy of your own boot image.

@leo5111 here are two zipped files much more recent than the one you referenced. This is the zipped stock boot image for 36 (current latest) and the zipped magisk patched 36. The version of magisk used was 20.4 (current latest stable).

No - I used one for that photo first time I rooted and couldn't create my own. So use them.

The stock 36 boot is for if you want to patch it yourself (e.g., with a different Magisk version than 20.4) or otherwise needed the unmodified original.

Take the patched magisk.img above here and fastboot it ( fastboot boot \Magisk_patched.img) and you should have it. I think you will have to unzip it first.

You should also have Magisk app installed before also.

After fastboot, if you are rooted when you boot up magisk manager, install it with manager, or on next boot, it will be no longer rooted
