As luck would have it, I have managed to hard brick my tablet. About a week before you posted the TWRP test build, I was playing around with PitchBlack Recovery. After flashing it to /recovery, the tablet went unresponsive. No preloader or BROM mode either. Never seen this happen before.
Find a long thin thing and start sp flash and put the thing in the hole beside the power and volume and make sure its plugged in and then push the thing in there and it should reset and let you flash it hopefully you understand what i said also a toothpick should work
Use a toothpick to reset the tablet by pressing the tiny button by the power button put the toothpick in the hole and then press in and also make sure sp flash tools is starting to flash and a USB is connected to the tablet
Testing now how much battery is required to boot twrp?

Touch is a common issue for 7 inch tablets with twrp try to fix it gor me by patching stuff because i cant figure i have tried
Does the rom have to be a ab partition because I have seen some oreo GSI roms.
You could try clockwork mod recovery or cyanogen mod recovery since they don't require touch

hi im working on another onn surf 7 tablet last time we talked i had everything working but since then i have had to do a full windows reinstall for some reason i cannot get mtk usb drivers to work i did reboot into recovery options and disabled windows driver signature enforcement and installed the mtk drivers in order to use sp flasher but keeps saying driver installed but cannot start code 101
