Well for starters there is no custom rom for the Moto g6 play. There is gsi (generic system image) that you can choose from but because they are made to be used on any project treble compatible device which Is any Android device shipped with Android 8 (Oreo) or higher and not specifically made for the Moto g6 play there will be issues and or bugs. The best I can do for you is say to follow the bottom of my guide for reflashing stock firmware invade you mess up. I have not messed around flashing gsi enough to feel comfortable being able to help with situations not involving stock firmware or a actual custom rom. There are about 5 guides I think for gsi that you can go to on here there.

Sorry I will explain myself better. I have a moto g6 play XT1922-5 (Aljeter retla) I follow your guide until step 3 on root process. I decide to install ressurection remix arm a everything was going well until I Flash it. I'd like to know what I did wrong, can I repair it, it I have to wipe everything and to start over. Thank you.

To quote @Starkiller2. "Assuming youre already decrypted and in twrp,
Flash gsi
Swipe to factory reset
For gapps you have two options, one of these will work

1.Go to advanced wipe menu
Select system, change file system
Select resize file system
Swipe twice to resize because it will fail the first Time (no idea why)
Go back to main menu and install gapps
2. After flashing gsi, let it boot once then reboot to twrp, install gapps(not 100 percent guaranteed with every gsi, but kinda easier so worth a shot)
Install magisk or whichever root method you choose after gapps,
Reboot"

As it says this is assuming your already decrypted And in twrp. Best bet to make sure there ain't anything messed up just reflash stock firmware and try again. as I said earlier I'm not to familiar with gsi as I'm still learning how to properly do them myself hence why I directed you toward the gsi guide lol it is fixable but the way I fix it is reflashing stock and trying again. Aosip worked for me. Rr remix didn't but it worked for other people

Yes. When that option pops up definitely make sure you touch system. Also. Aosip does have a bug ( at least for for 16gb xt1922-7 Sprint model not sure about 32gb models) where Mobile data like LTE does not work. Starkiller2 also explains how to fix that. But again I'm not sure if that bug is there for international/us 32gb variants.

Just to add a small bit of info. If you flash a GSI, try to reboot, and twrp says "No OS installed", just ignore it and reboot anyways.

Twrp gives you different install options for images, because it can flash boot, recovery, and system images, but it has no way of knowing the difference between a system.img or a boot.img. As far as twrp knows, it's just an image file. It doesn't read the first name, just the file extension.

To reflash stock do I have to press Enter after each line on command. Because after paste the first line
(fastboot oem fb_mode_set) and press Enter I only have waiting for the device and can't write anything after that.

Are you in fastboot? Hold the power button and volume down button together until the bootloader/fastboot screen pops up then use the commands and enter them one at a time....

Step 2.) Use the volume keys on the device to select boot to recovery and TWRP will boot up again. swipe right to allow modifications. IT SHOULD NOT ASK YOU FOR A PASSWORD THIS TIME IF IT DOES YOU MESSED UP DURING THE DECRYPT PROCESs

when I get here It does not say swipe right to allow modifications, just opens twrp without password. xt1922-9 retus
