Root/Reroot with Magisk and Pass SafetyNet.Which instruction should I follow step by step to get my phone rooted?
Shamiko was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the mention.Guide worked great thanks. But how do we hide root from apps without enforcing the denylist? (If I enforce, Safetynet fails. If I don't enforce, apps can detect root even though I've hidden Magisk). On Pixel 5/A13.
Edit: found Shamiko from the LSposed team and it works great. Cheers!
If your carrier will unlock the bootloader , yes.I have a pixal 5 with android 13, will thus guide work with it? It has the cell carrier lock spectrum mobile. got it from my aunt and she didn't know once u paid it off they unlock it for you... still working on her to do so.. but I wanna root for GPS location for an app..
So spectrum will half to unlock the bootloader for me to root it?. I can't unlock it using unlock bootloader in the instructions?. Just wanna be sure that I'm understanding correctly.. the website you provided is for the Sim card right?. I'm cool with it being Sim locked to spectrum that's fine I just want to root the phone so I can GPS spoof for pokemon.. I have bad knees and live out in the middle of no where only like 3 spots to spin and 1 gym in a 10 mile stretchIf your carrier will unlock the bootloader , yes.
In this Safeunlocks article, they write about Carrier (Sims card) unlocking not bootloader unlocking Spectrum Mobile's phones.
Try this to determine if the bootloader is unlockable. So spectrum will half to unlock the bootloader for me to root it?. I can't unlock it using unlock bootloader in the instructions?. Just wanna be sure that I'm understanding correctly.. the website you provided is for the Sim card right?. Just download the magisk delta manager app and patch the boot.img Then flash it.I see here that the Pixel 5 can be rooted with Magisk Delta. However, that was with Android 13.
Has anyone rooted a Pixel 5 with Magisk Delta for Android 11? I want to try to do that, and before I dive in, I'd like to know whether anyone has done this successfully on an Android-11-based Pixel 5.
Thank you in advance.
Thank you. I know how to do this. My question is as follows:Just download the magisk manager app and patch the boot.img Then flash it.
I haven't, but you could do a search on this thread for Magisk Delta. Good luck.Thank you. I know how to do this. My question is as follows:
Has anyone actually successfully accomplished this with a Pixel 5 under Android 11 and Magisk Delta? I'd like that confirmation before I dive in and try it myself.
Thank you again, very much.
Thank you. I already did extensive searches on this thread and several other threads, and I didn't find an answer.I haven't, but you could do a search on this thread for Magisk Delta. Good luck.
Ok. Are you wanting to root android 11 with Magisk Delta as a test before you root with android 13?Thank you. I already did extensive searches on this thread and several other threads, and I didn't find an answer.
That's why I posted this question here. Given that this is a "root-pixel-5" thread, I'm hoping that someone who has rooted their Android-11-based Pixel 5 with Magisk Delta might read my question in this thread and be able to offer that kind of confirmation.
PS: and the "Magisk Delta" thread is another one of the threads in which I already did extensive searching without finding an answer ... and so I already posted a similar question in that thread, as well, for the same reason.
I don't even want to upgrade above Android 11 at all for the time being. The higher the Android version, the more restrictions there seem to be, and it seems more difficult and complicated to hide root and hide mods.Ok. Are you wanting to root android 11 with Magisk Delta as a test before you root with android 13?
I would use Magisk v23 for A11.I don't even want to upgrade above Android 11 at all for the time being. The higher the Android version, the more restrictions there seem to be, and it seems more difficult and complicated to hide root and hide mods.
I just want to root the standard factory Android 11 that comes with the new Pixel 5 and just use it as is.
Some time in the future, I might decide to upgrade to A12 or A13, but I don't want to do that too soon.
Thank you. Have you or anyone else here successfully rooted A11 on the Pixel 5 with Magisk 23.0?I would use Magisk v23 for A11.

Yes.Thank you. Have you or anyone else here successfully rooted A11 on the Pixel 5 with Magisk 23.0?
As I have explained here, I am looking for people who can confirm successful rooting of an A11 Pixel 5.
Thank you again.
Oh, thank you!Yes.
Basically up until A13 as I wasn't really in love and sold on A12 yet.
But I ended up really liking A13 so I've stayed on it
However up until then, I ran crDroid A11 and stayed on Magisk v23.
Very welcome, my friend.Oh, thank you!
So, just a standard crDroid 11 installation plus Magisk 23.0, correct?
I've used crDroid before on a different device, and I'm familiar enough with it to be sure that this would be a lot easier and less headache-producingly complicated than trying to install any of the post-23.0 Magisk versions and their supported modules on stock A11 or above.
Furthermore, I've been currently using Magisk 23.0 on an Android-10-based OnePlus device, and I have no problems or headaches with 23.0.
So, I'm now strongly considering your suggestion!
Thank you again!
Always on the edgeSDK Platform-tools
Several members of the XDA community have
written posts that SDK Platform-tools r34.0.1 broken. Problem: fastbootd not working
SDK Platform-tools r33.0.3 is attached : OP post #769
Excellent suggestion, I added a link to SDK Platform-tools rev. 33.0.3 to the OP and attach SDK Platform-tools rev. 33.0.3 to the same post, kinda.Always on the edge(thank you)
Nevertheless, why not add this same alert to OP or / and attach r33.0.3 to the same post?
just 3 or 4 posts before yours, @Homeboy76 clearly stated the reason, it applies to 34.0.0 and 34.0.1
Now that I think about it, I don't know why I did not get it from Google! Thanks for raising that mistake. I checked all the SHA256 hashes for the files and they all match with the files from your Google link. Also, the device manager shows the driver as signed by Google and did not prompt during the driver installation saying anything about not signed. Below is a screenshot from the Device Manager on PC.Are you saying that it worked after you installed a driver from that post?
I personally would not dare trust that.
1- Source is not from the official Google.
2- Unisgned, yet it says Google?

to verify communication with phone. It should return your phone's serial number. You should have your stock image you can push over. I do not think replacing the boot image with another patched image would disable anything. You can also use adb to remove any modules. Regardless heres my patched boot image and the command to remove modules. Power off, connect phone enter this command, hold power button to boot phone.is there a magisk boot img with modules disabled?. i have a boot loop and need a boot img with it disabled.
