Can I use TWRP 3.x version by nels posted in dev topic with this method right away?
For some reason when I followed all the steps correctly when I flashed the SuperSu file. The app didn't show up when I rebooted. Could anyone help?
None of them worked for me, nor twrp nor the other one, both when i click start its showing 0 succeed 0 fail.![]()
Change USB cable and USB por, then try again. Sounds like you're not getting a good connection between your tablet and PC.
I literally just gone through the guide and it works fine. Even flashing a later version of SuperSU worked.
use recovery to flash root image. Not ODINHow does rooting work when you cannot find an image matching ODIN?
i only find images with a boot.img
and a system folder
ive used odin only with a tar.md5 files
I just now flashed Lineage 14.1 which is Android 7 and I believe that is the highest rom for GT-P5210.Dear I posted a thread , but maybe someone can help here with one question:
the solutions in this thread is dated from 2013 , but I would now if I can install android 10 or even 11 on my old samsung galaxy tab 3 GT-5210 tablet?
of which android is latest that is possible to upgrade from 4.4.2?
and wil the steps explained in this step still work for updating to any android version?
Great guide. First one using twrp for the 10.1
Works great. Only suggestion is to uncheck auto reboot in odin because some people have issues with the tab reinstalling stock recovery with auto reboot.

Yes it nice to have root. TWRP is a little laggy though. It take a few swipes to get it repond sometimes. CMW is another alt but it takes up a whole lot of room for a backup. Almsot 9 gigs! TWRP is closer to 2.5 gigs for a full back up.
