YOUR WARRANTY IS VOID AS SOON AS YOU UNLOCK BOOTLOADER.
DO MAKE BACKUP BEFORE YOU PROCEED!
A simple guide to root Stock Nougat 7.0 with Dec 1 Security Patch. Tried on my moto g4 plus XT1643. Try on other models and report.

Requirements:

1.) adb/fastboot:
Download and install the latest adb and fastboot drivers on your computer. Follow this guide by @shimp208
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790

2.) Unlocked BOOTLOADER.
Follow the bootloader unlock part under this newbie guide by @yeshwanthvshenoy
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/guide-newbie-resource-thread-t3386584

2.)TWRP 3.0.3 n1
Follow this guide by @Shreps
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...covery-twrp-3-0-2-r3-moto-g4-g4-plus-t3494337

3.)ElementalX Kernel v1.01
Follow this guide by @flar2
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/kernel-elementalx-g4-0-01-t3424836

4.)SuperSU v2.79 Stable
Download the recovery flashable zip from @Chainfire
http://www.supersu.com/download

So after you have unlocked your bootloader and flashed twrp, flash the elementalx kernel and then open terminal in twrp by:
Advanced>Terminal
Type these two lines:

# echo "SYSTEMLESS=true" > /data/.supersu
# exit

Now flash the SuperSu v2.79 stable zip downloaded earlier.
Wipe cache and art cache.
Reboot and now you are done.

To revert to fully unrooted stock ROM you can follow this guide by
@Greekgodmerwyn here

Thanks to @Greekgodmerwyn for guidance. :good:

Hit like if this helps. ;) :good:
